Honestly gas mileage is never an issue or concern for me, I'm not tuned but I still put the top 93 gas in my GT. If not I just saved what? $2 by getting 91?
more like $6.

Average difference between 87 and 93 is like .40 cents. Take a 15 gallon fill up and you are looking at around $6.

About a $312 difference a year if you fill up every week.

Ok I was $4/week off, if you can't afford that don't get a Mustang....

So never let your tank go under a quarter tank that way you don't feel as guilty our feel bad gassing up filling my truck is about 70 a full fill at 87. Filling my TT is actually not bad since it gets better mpg, the gas gage "flickers" so sometimes the gage shows empty even though full so I go by a mileage rule, 250 on to around 300 I fill up, it's minimum rating is 91 octane. Most I pay is 40 to 50 so that's not too bad for about 10 gal or so, tt had the same fuel capacity as the mustang

And believe me, short rear gears do hurt fuel economy. The difference between 3.15s and 3.55s in the real world is probably at least 2 mpg, maybe 3.
I drive 3000 miles a month in both city and highway and I couldn't agree more.

Not super comparable, but for reference I lost ~5mpg going from 3.07s to 3.64s. They do cost you, though not a terrible amount. It's workable.
