I meant if I buy it, will my key work for any other Gorilla The System lug nuts on any other car? If so, it doesn't seem like a very secure system.
Locking wheel nuts do nothing special. If I like your wheels I can get them anyway. Funny thing is, that a lot people think that locking wheel nuts are save. I need an old wrench nut, a hammer and your wheels are mine. :D

There are so many videos on youtube too about "how to get locking nuts of your wheel" that it is not funny anymore. For me as a mechanic, it was a part of my daily work. Specially if a customer didn't had the key anymore.

100% true. I've seen vids as well of people taking wheels on in seconds that had locks. At the dealer I also would get the chance to do this same work . People always lose that damn lock key and what their wheels rotated lol.

All we can hope to do with locking lugs is deter the amatuers so they'll move on and maybe slow down the pros. But if they want the wheels bad enough, I suppose they'll get 'em.

Just curious. Do you nonetheless have locking wheel nuts on your tires?

Thanks.

It is, unfortunately, normal. I have PP wheels and did not want the supplied locking lug nut sticking out further than the other four lug nuts.

So, I ordered the black Gorilla locking lug nuts and replaced all of the lug nuts on each wheel. Each Gorilla locking lug nut requires the supplied "key" socket to install and remove. Now all of my lug nuts are black and each one is a lock. Good luck stealing my wheels, Mr. Thief.

Pics?

I'll try to post a few pics tomorrow. I think they look really clean with the black PP wheels. The only chrome on the wheels now is the pony in the center.

Ford needs to look into implementing a version of the "Denver Jock Strap" for all of our car jacking / wheel security needs: [ame]

As people posted. Peace of mind and for my insurance if they ask. I got them for free anyway.

Can the forum members confirm for me that the proper selection to replace the OEM lug nuts on a Performance Pack GT coupe is the following?

Gorilla "The System" Acorn Black Chrome 14mm X 1.50 5-lug #71643NBC

Just checked the number on the box, which I've used to store the removed lug nuts. That is indeed the product number. I think you'll like them.
