Yes, they do... if you leave your car so it is accessible.

They totally hosed the Stingray owner. They weren't even kind enough to give the usual cinderblock core for the wheel.

They didn't even have the decency to use jacking pucks! :frusty: :D

I won't let any shops lift my C7 unless I verify they use my leave-in pucks before it goes in the air. Luckily my dealer is Corvette-centric and I don't have to worry about them.

The stock nut is just short of 1.5" long at the middle peak. The McGard locks from Ford are 1 7/8" long and the Gorilla "The System" locks are just about 1.5" long, but when you replace all 20 you don't notice it.
Thanks, do those "The System" locks have a unique key, or is the key common to all of those locks?

There is one key for all 20 locks in the set.
What do you torque them to? Same as stock? 150 ft-lbs??

(which none of my stock lug nuts were torqued to)

I meant if I buy it, will my key work for any other Gorilla The System lug nuts on any other car? If so, it doesn't seem like a very secure system.
No. Each key is registered to it's owner and marries to the lug nuts with tiny variations. If you lose it you will have to contact Gorilla to get a replacement key.

150 seems high to me. I do 90-100.

That said some of mine were kinda loose, maybe 50 lbs. Checking the lug nuts is the first thing I usually do on a new car. I actually checked them before I left the dealership since it was about 90 miles from home.

Yep, mkenny28 is correct. Like any other good set the keys are unique, or so very random the chances of someone getting a key to fit your wheels is slim to none.

I checked mine right when I got home (not a very long drive).

I set the torque wrench to 100 and every single one turned a little bit until it clicked.

Since I asked you, I've been reading up on it. The 150 lbs is supposedly due to the going from 1/2" (12.7mm) to 14mm. Maybe I'll up them to 110. :)

My solution to the over-sized locking wheel-lug problem -- get the cheapest off-brand wheels TireRack has to offer so that nobody would ever want to steal them and stick my snow tires on those.

My tire shop put this one all around my car. They said they don't get lose too.
