:frusty: So am I correct in saying the wheel nuts I've just ordered are going to look crappy and end up in a box in the garage? :frusty:
Well we don't know that yet, it can be difficult to tell from the pictures. It was just the first thing that I thought when I saw them (I have a set of small diameter nuts I ordered from CJPP in error - free to anyone who wants to pay the postage, no lock nuts).

If they are not the bulge type they will show the unpainted silver. Not the end of the world though - I suppose there are ways around it - touch up the wheels, black 'washers' etc.

Picked some up from Mike @ Modurstang today as I was passing on my way down to Somerset. Absolute gent to deal with and will be going back with a list of mods.

We only just got these into the UK, so I personally can't comment on the way they look fitted yet.

We usually just supply these ones, as well a the chrome version of the same style, as the problem with larger nuts like the Ford OEM ones, is that they often dont fit into aftermarket wheels.

Anyone know if pinching alloy wheels is still a thing by the way? I don't think I've seen a car up on bricks for many years.

No...these days its the whole car...sorry.

I just got these fitted today. Look much better, also thinner so you're not going to scratch the alloy getting the horrible locking nut from stock off.

Excuse the dirt...

Checked one. No silver showing under originals.

Quick one while on the subject.

Yes, you need the 'bulge' type for the stock PP wheels, to cover over the silver bits in the holes. Down side with the bulge type is that they don't fit most aftermarket wheels apparently.

Might get some of the ones shown from Steeda UK, when I get my hand in pocket for winter wheels. Better price than importing from the states.

Just ordered the bulge type from CJPP and I think it might be wise to get a spare 'key', otherwise you're screwed if you (or the local garage) lose it. CJ were not interested, so have to order from Gorilla direct when the nuts arrive (and pay twice the amount in shipping!).

200Nm seems way too much, at work when we are torquing wheels we only set them at 110Nm.

Its in the handbook, or alternately do a search. 150 ft lbs rings a bell for Ford recommended though this about max and mine are torqued to 120 to avoid damaging the spacers...do your own conversions to Nm.
