How much tread is left? There could be an issue with the tires, might be worth a call to perelli. I had issues with some Toyo's on a highlander and Toyo gave me 50% off a new set since I had 50% tread left. They also gave me 100% off for the full size spare

I did call pirelli, they said dealers shouldnt be test driving or moving the cars that have these tires in cold weather. They dont reccomend storing them in the cold temperatures either. I dont think the dealers know this. I have a friend that bought a new corvette with similar tires and he was disclosed of this issue.

I was a bit surprised that the Ford dealers don't make new owners sign an acknowledgement form about the summer tires. They do cover it in the manual and I think the door frame tire decals but in modern "legal" society none of that would carry as much weight as a signature I'd think. I mean they make you sign a form to acknowledge the car has 21 miles on the odometer when you take posession.

There's no way I will ever get 20k miles out of a rear summer tire. I was lucky to get 10k on rears on my S2000.

Switch to a better summer tire than the PZero and you will. My Conti DW tires have about 20,000ish miles with about 5,32nds tread remaining.

My rears are nearly done @ 10k. I could probably push them to 11, maybe even 12k, but I went ahead and ordered new Michelin PSS.

I'll switch to PSS's when I get wheels. Tread life is not something I'm really concerned about since I don't daily the car.
