Manders - slightly off topic, but been meaning to ask, do your mirrors both fold in the same amount? I notice you have a slightly later car with a slightly different mirror design (3 raised lines). Just wondering if they addressed this issue?
Nope, they still fold awkwardly like everyone elses, the lines are just wind deflectors to reduce cabin noise.

Good news: my second replacement projection light turned up today in the post as promised.

Bad news: exactly the same

My Passenger puddle light now has a box on the horse's back. Car is 7 weeks old.

Ford dealers have the notice to replace them, give them a call and ask them to order the part in or send you the part, some peoples dealers are a treck away, so it's worth seeing if they'll post it to you!

Careful you don't get a wonky one like @kritian87 (Wonks better than blocky, but neat and straight is the right one !)

Strongly advise anyone with this problem not to make a long trek to the dealership for this. Could end up being a waste of time. Get them to post it.

Installation is easy. Hardest part is getting it out - needs a little poke with a flat headed screwdriver to release the clip.

And there's definitely no way to adjust the image's angle at all, either through installation or modification of the lamp itself?
Yes you probably can if you crack the thing open. The lens/template would be tiny though I would imagine so it would be super fiddly.

The clear plastic piece covering the lens is glues to the body from what I can tell.

Just to confirm (and sorry if this came up earlier in the thread): there is no preventive measure one can take when first receiving the car - even if only to reduce the possibility of horse-mutation?
