Have read here post #20. It seems they just pop out and take 10 seconds to replace, looks like a quick fix but very common water related problem.

Can you post the link again please (without asterix)?

That'll be great if its a simple DIY job. Going to the dealers is not ideal for a number of reasons.

Unless it's just a 'bad batch' we have on our cars, it's looking like we'll need new lamps after every winter then?

Took a photo of mine this morning, i cant see how the template can get damaged...as far as i can see its covered by a clear plastic clip, so the cutout thing must be inside the mirror and somewhat protected.

Looks like it can just be unclipped assumingly to replace the bulb or whatever js used to project the image

I would be shocked if the whole door mirror assembly needs to be taken apart. Hoping i can get the part selivered so i can do it myself!
I don't think I will replace them if I need to do disassemble the mirror and door panel to acces the mirror... anyway, it still puzzles me why the images get's screwed up after 6 months...

I just heard from my dealer, they now have the part (ordered about 6 weeks ago).

Fortunately I will be travelling near the dealership this Friday so I am intending to arrange to have it sorted then.

Will let you all know how it goes. I will make sure I ask many questions! It's clearly a common problem...

Please take some picture's from the disassembly and install so we know what to do when our warranty runs out and we need to DIY ;-)
Meanwhile I'm still waiting on a confirmation that Ford accepted my warranty claim...

btw 6 weeks is again long time to receive a replacement part... I wonder what will happen when we trash a bumper at some point...

Good luck!

Well it's happened in Australia now, someone said there's has started to break up.....and yet again it's above the horses back, i'm wondering if the buld/light is stronger in this area.
