I heard they do one that projects a silhouette of Manders...
Yeah but they cost as much as the car mate. Sorry, only for me :)

Has anyone had this resolved yet?

I'm looking to get mine done but want to be able to give them a part number over the phone and get it sorted in one visit rather than leaving it there so they can take it apart, see what they need, then take it back in two weeks time when they've got the part.

What was wrong with the bumper? Mine is misaligned by a few mm on the passenger side. It's been in but the they say there's nothing they can do.

Regarding the puddle lamps, if its an easy job, would it be better to get the dealer to post and then fit yourself? Saves all the hassle (and risk of damage etc.) of going into the dealer.
Hi mate, went to my dealers bodyshop yesterday for realignment of my rear bumper. All good, took around 45 minutes.
And the dealer have also got my puddle lamp fault in hand, guess I'll be waiting for parts for a while.
Cheers.

These are what I brought as it was something the US guys had mentioned might help, but having thought about it I think the problem is inside the lamp housing so sticking this on the outside i'm sure won't work.

I think the only way to sort this is to break one open to see where the pony has been painted, to me it looks like the painted outline is lifting/breaking up which might be down to the paint not keying in properly on the plastic.

I think the actual cutout is broken, my assumption is that it works by the following:

Light, blackout sheet with mustang cutout, therefore projects a pony on the ground. Any 'overlay' to change the colour Toecutter will just change the pony, and with it, the spots/defects, to a new colour.

FYI ripped and torn manders are two options with the Manders Mustang Puddle (of tears) project lamp silhouettes.

Tell you what, if there's anyone living in Berkshire/Hampshire that has puddle lamps that aren't broken get in contact with me as I have a spare set of these overlays, you can stick them on your car and see if it helps atleast that way we'll know.

I know i'm probably wasting my time but I've asked a Question over on the Australian side to see if they're having the same problems, starting to think our damp weather might be helping with these problems.

Exactly what I thought Manders, but as Twiggy has also mentioned, I noticed some of the US guys suggesting some magical protective property of the product.

Noticed tonight that mine is starting to go now. Damn - I thought this was one thing I'd escaped.

I'm speculating that it's something to do with the fact that our mirrors are different (even than the LHD export cars apparently). This doesn't seem to be an issue on the US cars where their mirrors aren't power folding for a start.

We already know there's a design fault with the RHD car driver's door mirror, i.e. it doesn't fold in as far as it should (compared with the LHD export cars apparently). I'm guessing the pony projection fault is related. My money is on the damage being caused by some sort of physical rubbing, every time the mirrors are folded.

To those with and without the problem - do you use your folding mirrors much?

I've had my car since the beginning of December, but don't often use the folding mirrors (forget most of the time). I'd say I've been folding them on average twice a week.

For those with the problem - is it just on the drivers side?

EDIT: Looks like it happens to the US cars as well - so much for my bullsh1t theory!

I'm sure this is weather related, so far all seems well on the Aussie site, no mention of problems yet.
