I bought one very similar to that. Took delivery and was completely turned off by the size. Can't tell for sure from your pics, but mine is a fair bit bigger than the fob; didn't even bother to put it on, last thing I need is more bulk in my pockets.

I didn't know these things needed protection. I just lay my keys down carefully.

I wanted one to prevent the buttons from being pressed while in my pockets.

I just figured out a quick, non-destructive way to fix the touchy panic button problem.

Pop out the panic button (easier if you take apart the fob), and find a small, thin washer that will just fit over the silicone nib that covers the microswitch. Snap the panic button back into place - the washer will prevent the panic button from being pressed. If you change your mind, you can restore the panic button function in about 30 seconds.

Legal disclaimer: Don't use this technique if you live or work in a high crime area, or any area that has any people at all. Use at your own risk. Your mileage may vary. Professional driver on closed course. If your erection lasts for more than four hours, consult a physician immediately.

I don't think the key fob is touchy. You have to give it a good press. You even hear it make a click sound. So far no issue.

*SMH* the only thing I can think that may cause accidental button pushing is caused by wearing really tight jeans.

Mine sure is. I had it in a large & roomy outer pocket of my jacket, and it was set off when I bent down to pick something up. There was nothing else in that pocket, but I must have turned just right to activate it. Not happening again though! :D

I think Im going to try the yellow one.

B Gordon, you have a picture of both sides of the yellow one with the key in it?
Picked up the car today and installed the covers whle waiting for dinner at a cafe.
The cover is darn tight and tough to slide over the fob.
Mine is a base GT and the cover works perfect for it. The different buttons are properly centered in the cutouts.

Anybody looking for a clean solution to hanging their keys off their fob should check out Orbit Key.http://www.orbitkey.com

I Use one for my keys and I actually removed the spare key from my fob and put it into the orbitkey so I don't have to fumble around if my battery ever dies or I want to lock glove box.

I have my house keys, spare key, the keyshaped USB drive, and the bottle opener on mine and so far everything has stayed protected. No more jingling keys and scratches on anything.

Hmm, I like the stitched leather one in the thread but it looks like it is sold out on the ebay seller. Not a whole lot of choices for a manual car.

I seriously hate this keyfob. Everytime I get into my car it tries to lock when its in my pocket, so when I close the door it honks two times. Its gotten super annoying, one time my car honked at some old lady walking in front of my car, I'm sure she thought I was perving on her lol

 I know exactly what you're talking about it- it's annoying when it beeps just to alert you that the key isn't in the car.
