Toss in 8oz of Torco with the "93" at the pump, and you're good to go. That'll last you 4 tanks of fuel, and costs 25 bucks. So, about 6 bucks a tank extra. Worth every penny.
What's the shelf life on torco and how can you tell of its still any good? Lund mentioned the shelf life on it sucks.

Torco is the shiiiittttzzzz, lol. Got me a crap load of timing on my boosted 4g63, I was using more concentration back then, but now in the 5.0 I run about a 1/4 as you said, seems to wake the car up a bit more.

back in 2011, when the copperhead pcm learning curve was steep and everyone thought it was meant to be tuned like a 3v.
Whatever the excuse was/is...
Sad thing the only person that paid in the end, was the customers.
And the piles and piles of broken motors.
(and its not just Coyotes, I see it across all platforms, but lots of coyotes)

Turning them off is on par with drilling holes in throttle bodies.

lol.. We call that the "Dewalt Dashpot" whenever we used to see one.
I thought for sure those days were over.
But just about 2 months ago, I saw another one get done.

I asked the guy "did this get tuned a few years ago"
His reply "nope just a couple weeks ago, why?"
Me

I have a can for traveling "just in case" but will try it and catalog it and see how timing holds.

What continues to bug me and bother me is how can Procharger uses lower grade gas, makes more power, has no imrc issues and doesn't need fuel additives to make those numbers, all day long, on everyone's dyno and at the track but I have to run more boost with race gas or a street tune and torco just to be in the ballpark.

Remind me again who has they better tuning? Then explain.

Lund tunes all kinds of cars, and I realize Procharger only tunes a very specific setup for each car without tuning support for variations, but shouldn't the "worlds best Ford tuner " be able to eliminate imrc issues if Procharger has nailed it? That might be the missing link to the power differences and would probably take care of the surging.

Also, with the JMS BAP, since it phases pump voltage in at 25+50% throttle couldn't that be affecting driveability in parr throttle situations too just to look at everything?

Somewhere on this thread or one similar I have pictures of how I added a catch can on mine with my Procharger setup and switched the pcv hoses to have Ford connectors instead of just hoses stuffed over the valves which can be hard to get off

There is no blow by when running the PCV as we have listed in the install manual.

What continues to bug me and bother me is how can Procharger uses lower grade gas, makes more power, has no imrc issues and doesn't need fuel additives to make those numbers,
When we design a system, we do the following.

Start with low boost (lets say 5psi)
And find out what the power gain per psi of boost is.
Then we up it by 1 psi per pull, and again, see what the gain is.
Once the gain per psi starts dropping, we stop adding boost.
Since we then know we are at the threshold of fuel quality (and other things)
So.......

Bolt on 150HP with 15psi of boost
or
Bolt on 150HP with 9psi of boost

If we can make the same power gains, at lower boost level its good.
The intercooler works less (air temps don't get as hot)
Less chance for detonation on hotter days, poor fuel, etc.

eliminate imrc issues if Procharger has nailed it? That might be the missing link to the power differences and would probably take care of the surging.
We have not eliminated the IMRC's, we just "masked" the issue by 99.9999%
We could remove them entirely, however no customers have complained,
So we moved onto other projects, such as the LT-4 and new F-150.

Speaking of that, I really need to start working on the blog about the new F-150 system we have done, with the new ECU that doesn't have a Mass Air Meter. :).... however we have two killer systems for it, that make killer power and drive 100% OEM stock.
