O.k. thanks. Let us know the quality of the eBay one.

Will do. My expectations aren't real high but maybe I'll be surprised, who knows.

I think it would be awesome if Procharger tech could go ahead and post a video of them installing a new stock kit hose on the blower for the benefit of the community here. Maybe all the manhandling to get it on has weakened it in some cases, plus the design concern of the Procharger red valve that's popping up. I'd like to see them toss one on and see what I must have missed in my multiple attempts to get it on, in a side note.

Nice!!! Is that in addition to the surge valve or a replacement?

Addition. This car seems to be running the smallest pulley you can, but gated for lower boost, running the stock BPV.

The plastic elbow pictured is the air raid piece trimmed up a little, with the stock silicone elbow cut up and used as a coupler on both ends.

Oh man that's what I'm talking about. Kick ass. So you're probably running 12 psi down low lol

Not my car. This was taken by Sam at Coastal dyno.

Waiting to hear back from the engineers at Procharger. When I was talking to the guy on the phone he was telling me how its caused by the Race valve pushing against the tube. Uhmmm.... ya think? But to be honest it felt like he was about to say they cant do anything about it.
I think I have said this a few times.
There is no reason for a race valve unless you are over 750-800rwhp.

But yes, the "Race" valve is for people to make fit. (thats not a plug and play option)

If you dent the inlet tube like that with the race valve.
The inlet will really want to suck in, since its half collapsed at that point.

You can get that race valve to fit, without pushing on the tube.
Its a lot of triming, but it will. (example)

You can see how far its under the plastic cover.

We have a new inlet tube in testing.
(to make it easier to install, and stronger)

To be fair, that seems like a cop out. "Yeah you can buy our upgraded valve, but if you do you have to jerry rig something so our provided hose doesnt collapse. " Sorry you spent around 6 grand only to run into an issue because we used silicone instead of a hard plastic like almost every other blower kit out there.

Either way, the tech folks are sending me an updated rubber inlet hose, so we'll see. So the help ive recieved so far has been great, but this seems like a big oversight that should have been caught in R&D.

Its a race part, not part of the normal kit.
Its an optional race upgrade. (heck it even has "race" in the name)

That valve is not system specific.
Anyone can order it for any boosted application.
(actually lots of big power turbo cars run it)

If a customer wants a part, we will sell it to them.
In no way do we state its a drop right in option.

No different then a person can order an Air to Water intercooler from us.
Its up to them to mount it, plumb it, and supply water pumps, tanks etc.

Again at the end of the day, 95% of our customers will never need that valve, the standard unit works fine, fits perfect.
And we also offer a "bullet" version of the valve that fits great, and is like a mini race valve.

Really if people want an upgrade that fits, sounds awesome and doesn't break the bank. The "bullet" really is what they should be using.

Really the surge valve can be mounted anywhere in that tract. I would move the surge valve to a better spot with a length of hose. That spot is just too tight unless like PC says, you want to trim some items.

I greatly dislike PC's tone about it, placing the blame on the consumer for installing it incorrectly. I definitely dislike it when I had one the best shops in the country install mine and they now have to completely reroute the valve and install a new inlet tube.

I've spared no expense with this car, as I wanted the best. Admit that the inlet wasn't design strong enough, that there should be a warning that under no circumstance can the tube be indented in installation, and move on. Too many vendors up in here are so scared to admit that their product wasn't designed by Jesus and it's possible that there are flaws.

I tossed this on today. It wasn't very difficult. I just have to order a new 3.5" coupler for the TB because it does not reach the intercooler piping with the way the boss manifold sits. I also have to put in the mounts to lower engine. They should be here Thursday but not sure when they will get installed as I have never done mounts before.
