If I'm hearing you correctly, you're saying you are working with a local tuner with a dyno. If so, and he gets you the power / tunes you're looking for, I'd say you've won the game and you're leaps ahead of us who are just in the wing waiting for whatever someone will send us whenever they decide to send it. I think a lot is lost in translation with remote tunes, but maybe that's just been my experience with the 2 remote tuners I've used. As of right now, it'll be my last.

If I left my job for a week and didn't tell any of my customers, well... I know what the outcome would be for me lol. I guess it's different when you have a captive prepaid audience.

I am in Pennsylvania, my tuner is in Florida... I am giving you an alternative. Now granted I know a bit about tuning myself, so this makes things easier.

I worked with a second tuner to smooth out my throttle issues. It's not perfect but it minimized it. Now I need to replace this tiny bypass valve from procharger. This is now a culprit.

I'm the one with the Yellow Mustang and HO kit reference in the article. I just wanted to pop in and say that the new HO tune that matches the STG2 stuff mentioned in this thread was installed today and made a HUGE difference for me. Stutter/bucking is virtually gone. I can feel it very minimally, but I must be hitting that vacuum/boost zone issue at certain times at partial throttle, but power is way up just after the updated tune and driveability is so close to stock now, that it's not even a problem.

But glad that your are running like a champ now. And yes, your intercooler is up here waiting ready whenever you are. Would say that it will take just a few hours to make the swap, and load new tune file.


AS FAR AS ALL THIS "WHAT SHOULD THE TIMING BE" TALK:
With good fuel we allow the computer to run 19 degrees with our factory tunes. (thats normal 91-93 pump gas tune) 9psi or lower boost.
Hope that helps as a reference. (usually around 17 degrees is where they fall)

Contact Eric Brooks, where it is not the best thing to do, he did tune mine on E85 with ID1000/JMS 22v BAP.

Who is he with? My thing is if people are running 19* of timing and mine is tuned at 16* there is more left in it. I paid 450 to not get full potential

Did Lund say he was done tuning your car? Not every car can take the same amount of timing as other cars. What did it dyno? Did you run it at the track?

Are you getting the partial throttle bucking ? That's all stuff that should concern you.

These cars have active knock sensors
(unless the turner turns them off, which we don't, and is a big no no)

Your car is going to run what they tuner allows, and what the car is "happy" with. If your fuel sucks, no matter if you allow 19 degrees, you might only get 9 degrees.

I have actually seen a Dodge that had junk 87 in it.
(Yes a customer bought a supercharger kit, but was to cheap to run 91 gas)
Pulled all the timing that the car would allow (all the way down to 6 degrees)

Hope this helps make sense. You can't just "blame the tune"
If your fuel quality is poor.

I might have missed the alternative you're suggesting. Are you suggesting I use what Lund sent me and a local shop to smooth it out? Maybe I missed it in the volume of posts that popped up.

Lund encrypts the file, local tuner isn't going to be able to read out his tune. I'm just giving you a good tuner to work with if you don't have success with Lund.

But I'll be honest, Lund is good, and knows his stuff. His customer service does lack though.

Ok I got what your saying. I wasn't blaming anyone just wondering if there is more left in it why not get it all. Lunds tune is real good I wouldn't hesitate getting it again.

New discovery: coupler on SC inlet is collapsing on itself under load. Shop is going to remove coupler and put it back on the dyno. Hopefully it will bring the power up... a lot. I am not so sure how much more it will gain from the 480 it was making. I will update when I hear back from the shop. Fingers crossed.

I did notice in your video you posted it looked like your bov was pushing on that coupler pretty good.
