I have a D1 with 6 rib & HO intercooler (little). I haven't installed it yet was think of selling the car. But I have a coworker that is very interested in buying it but had some questions.

He is thinking of ID1000's with a FORE fuel system. He wants to know what will be his limiting factor with the system if any for 700-750whp? He was going to buy a D1 Stage 2 but now that I'm selling this system he wants to know if he can make 750whp on e85? Has this been done with the HO System, without the 6 rib belt slipping or the HO intercooler causing restriction?

Thanks!

People have hit 700 RWHP on the standard HO kit with the P1 head unit. If he adds a fuel system and injectors he shouldn't have an issue hitting 750 at all. Clutch and other parts are not going to be happy. My stock clutch is fighting for it's life at 720 on pump gas.

Thanks! He's an auto with 355 gears I think. But that's good news! The kit does have the D1 but I don't think that would matter until max effort like above 800-850whp.
Anybody wants to chime in with there HO System experience I would appreciate it.

Chargedguard5.0 broke the 750 mark on a P1 HO with fuel system and e85. Your kit will get him to where he wants to be

If i were him i would upgrade to the stage 2 intercooler,he can meet his goals with the H.O intercooler, but the stage 2 is so much more efficient. Also if he is going to run drag radials he will need to upgrade the clutch.Mine is starting to slip occasIonally and i only have 5000 miles on my car, they are alot of track miles though lol.

That combo could make 800 wheel no problem. We would probably tune around 750 wheel on e85 to be safe

What pulley would you recommend for 750whp on e85? The system has a 4.10 on it now but I think that's only good for 10.5ish? He has Kooks no cats & 3in exhaust.

Thanks guys for all the comments & help!

It comes down to "How good is his stock tensioner"

Since the HO system uses the stock Ford tensioner.
Our STG2 system uses our tensioner.

Not all stock Ford tensioners are created =

Would a smaller Gates green belt help? I know he will need a smaller pulley for his goals figured he will need a smaller belt also?

Yes, basically you are right at the end of everything for that system at 750hp.
The blower is about done at that point
The factory 6 rib tensioner is hanging on for dear life
And the intercooler is getting to the end of the line before it stacks boost.

The HO kit offers a lot of "bang for the buck" by far.
But really is designed for the guy that's doing a blower kit, on pump gas, and nothing more other than racking up lots of miles and smiles over the years.

For people wanting to run E85, race, turn it up, the STG2 really is the way to go.

We make north of 700RWHP on E85 on our car at 10psi on a P1 HO System. The P1 blower still has room to go, a D1 will have even more room. The number can be made easily, the limiting factory we are running into is that the belt system starts to get finicky after a certain pulley size as ProchargerTECH said. There are a few guys on here pushing the HO Systems pretty hard, us being on of them.

If the price is right the HO system will get the job done(but figure that at that point there is not much room to grow.), if he is looking to get into a Stage 2 system, send him our way and we can get him setup with a killer combination.

What pulley did you start to see slip or it start to get finicky with? I have a 4.10 on the blower I think it would make 10.5lbs? What pulley would he need for the 750whp on e85 without belt trouble?

He's doing a 93 tune for daily & trips & e85 for track days. His car is stock other than exhaust & he doesn't plan on building the motor maybe OPG/sprocket. 750whp is the magic number he has gathered from shops & his tuner on e85 to cap the stock block/internals. When I bought the kit I was planning on 650 whp on 93 but his neighbor has a Hellcat with headers, pulley & tune so he wants some friendly competition brought to the neighborhood.

We got some slip with a 3.60(10psi) but a bit more tension and a Gates HD seems to have fixed that for now.

Actual pulley size will depend on combination, but 10-11psi on e85 should net close to if not over 700rwhp if tuned properly. Should not take much more boost to get it to 750rwhp.

Pardon my ignorance but how does a 3.6 pulley only put out 10-11 psi boost when the new Stage 2 kits come with a 4.75 pulley and claim to give 10psi. What am I missing?
