Yes, the email also contained the stage 2 manual, thanks a lot! The tools list makes me want to pull the trigger on the stage 2 already haha. But now after inquiring around, I have a friend who's dad has been working on mustangs longer than I've been alive and has a full garage so now even a PD blower I may consider haha. Decisions, decisions
When I did my PC install, the only things I was missing were various wobble extensions and such to get to that damned sound tube :frusty:. A quick trip to Harbor Freight took care of that.

I can also tell you that breaking the balancer bolt loose wasn't nearly as easy as the instructions made it sound because the engine would turn. I had to wedge a pry bar into the balancer spokes and let it brace against the sway bar.

The whole experience wasn't that hard, even for someone as mechanically inexperienced as I am. I'm glad I did it myself and have that sense of accomplishment.

The true stage ll takes a 8 rib belt and dedicated drive, bolting on a new pulley to the harmonic balancer, not hard but different.
I went with the HO kit with the Stage ll IC.

The pic that sanchezcruz_20 posted up scared the shit out of me at first. I thought who posted a pic of my engine bay. Funny after tearing into one of these you can now visually tell where every line goes where it connects and what it does.

I definitely want that sense of accomplishment too! That's why procharger or paxton seem to be the most likely for me to get. I appreciate all the tips and experiences everyone is posting :)

Removing the sound tube was the hardest step. If only the factory bolt wasn't so unnecessarily long, it would be easy with a short socket.

Mine took 30 seconds. Work gloves and a big yank. Came right off..

For everyone that has a procharger or any centri blower really, does it make driving around fun? I know a PD blower should be more of an instantaneous boost in power but I don't know how much more fun a centri would be for regular driving

Some notable things to add to this thread....

1) The difference between a HO and STG is not just the intercooler.
STG2 jumps to a dedicated drive system, and the larger intercooler
However one of the most popular kits is the HO system, with the STG2 intercooler option.

2) 98% of the people on this forum, would never run out of a P-1SC-1
People have made well over 700-730 rwhp with the P-1SC-1 there might be room to grow with that, just haven't see much past that point, since others have swapped to D-1SCs then. Unless you are planing on actually making 800rwhp, might question if that blower is really needed for your goals.

3) The entry level HO system, with HO intercooler is a vary capable kit.
The bang for the buck is pretty wicked, and with a custom tune dialed in for your car, it makes for a nice bolt on 10 second ride with no other mods (then tires) .... oh and maybe a driver mod, LOL

4) Base tunes that come in the kits
We send out about 10-15 of these tunes daily, and its very very rare to hear anyone have issues with them these days. (early days well over a year ago, yes there was some headaches with the different ECU cals but thats long been over) We strongly believe that a custom tune will always be ideal for a customers car... to maximize performance on the fuel in their particular area. So thus a customer can always opt. out of the tune, by getting a "tuner kit"

5) Boost curves
I can say without a doubt, (since I have been around for more testing then I care to even think about) without question the boost curve of the P-1SC-1 and its slightly larger brother (D-1SC) is flat out the most robust boost curve of a centrifugal of its size, PERIOD. The design of the impeller is not to make fancy numbers "up top", but to deliver the PUNCH through the midrange customers want in a street car. (Hence why we have blowers like the F-1A and F-1A-94, similar size, very different boost curves) This is one of the reasons you see so many "roll racing" videos of P-1SC-1 and D-1SC powered cars, doing very well on youtube... is because of that initial HIT down low, that carries through up top. We worked HARD to not have a "lazy" boost curve on our street blowers, and it has shown time and time again at the track (and street).

Anyways, enough with boring stuff like that.....
Just make sure to get the parts you actually "NEED" to meet your goals.
No sense in buying a stuff thats over the top, if there is no point in how you will use them.

So in the end, bang for the buck the HO kit can deliver 10 second performance, and beyond.
The STG2 system makes the sky the limit (or really just the limit of the engine)
Just depends on what you want to do.

And always if you have any questions at all, just drop us a line at 913-338-2886

Happy Boosting!

Thanks for the reply! I am shooting for 700hp-ish at the crank and I know that whatever kit i get I'll end up happy with. I always considered the stage 2 but maybe I can achieve my goal on the H.O. kit even
