I did find this grill option because I am not sure about the full delete. Just want a little something there to stop a big chunk of something flying into my intercooler.

That's why I love my free grill delete. If I want I can buy a sheet of aluminum mesh at Lowes for about $15 if I want more protection. My condenser is fine so far.

Not sure if you like them but Dusold Designs both upper and lower grills are only $330 for the set. That's why I ended up getting them. To me they look like the stock upper and lower with the original mesh removed and a new hex mesh attached to it. It's great quality though.

Yes...but ever so lightly. Just enough to take the pretty silver away.
I talked to PC before doing this and was told doing a light coat would not have any side effects (IAT's). Which now that I have ran it for 3-4k miles all summer everything is great and IAT's good. I did use this paint however.
