Did a search but did not find anything on the Procharger i1 for S550 in the forum.

I know that it is available for the S197 and so imagine, at least, the changes in the engine bay probably cause some fitment issues kind of like what happened between the S197 and S550 Hellion TT (and maybe just about everyone else).

Anyway...looking for more info than I can scarf up on the Procharger site and elsewhere.

Polite  "bench racing" comparisons welcome once more is known.

Thanks,

Pete

PS
Besides, Dustin needs a rest.

Pete,

Sorry that I have not been on the forums much. With it being the start of racing season, we all get pulled in many directions to make sure our customers kits are leaving as fast as possible, and racers are getting the support they need.

SO, sadly there has been no R&D for the i-1 done at this time. Since the unit uses CAN bus data to aid in its programing, it takes a bit more work to R&D then just a standard unit that is a hardware bolt on, and tuning. One of the largest markets for that system has been with the F-150's and the requests from C7 owners. So that has just recently wrapped up, which might lend to looking at the S550 again.

Although, currently our normal kits have been doing a bang up job of making a super cost effective power house for our customers.

I'm sure the Whipple is great, but this is getting old in this section. Like...it's okay to get something other than the Whipple.
Nothing, whipple fans boys just feel the need to post on everything about how great their out of the box kit is.
Nothing against their kit, it does work very well.

As for the tuning thing, we leave all knock sensors in place just as Ford intended to... and all fuel trimming as well. And to date have not heard of any broken coyote motors with our factory tuning/factory system, since we started putting blowers on them back in 2011.

As for "boost per gear"... well, we call that a "right foot" ;) Don't want full throttle, well thats easy with a centrifugal... just limit your foot on the pedal. (same thing being done electronically). So a better description would be "throttle limit per gear" (NOTE: Obviously I can't say thats how Whipple is doing it, however thats how many others have done it previously.)

I doubt we will ever go down the road of attempting to make programing like that, since nobody has ever requested it. However I am sure if one of the mail order tuners wanted to go down that road (I believe Lund has) they are more then welcome to.
