Procharger D1SC gear swap

Anyone have experience with sending a Head unit in to have the straight cut gears swapped for helical? I'm going to install first and see how loud it is but would like to know if anyone has done it before. I did call PC and was quoted roughly $1500 and they said it's not something they typically do. I may also search far and wide for someone who thinks their helical D1 is too quite and trade them.

I had a Vortec V-1 straight cut gears and couldn't stand that gear chatter at idle. I ended up trading back in for a V-2 helical cut gear case unit. It cost me though. Your best bet would be try and trade now before you run it as you should get a fair trade that way.

I didn't even think to ask about a trade in with ProCharger. I just bought a used kit from a forum member so it likely isn't possible but it's worth asking.

The "H" gears and "Strait" gear blowers sadly have very different internal parts, and even the cases. So there is no easy "swap" from one to the other.

And we can not accept used parts since we are a manufacture.

The best would be to find a forum member that wants to switch, or a shop.
