A ticking time bomb ;)
Already have. Several times. Including master reset. Issue persists. :frusty:
Take it to ford, at least you know they can't say "the issue can't be reproduced"

After iOS 9 update I also got the phantom phone call. I disabled Siri and it went away. Restarted Siri and all is well so far. Everything is working normal again. Holding my breath though!

The "phantom calls" people are talking about when using Siri or Google Maps or Waze or any of those programs is pretty typical I think. I have that happen as well. In my previous car which had an aftermarket Pioneer DVD/NAV headunit.

I don't recall exactly when it happens and when it doesn't but I know that anytime I want to use Siri, it will do that. I want to say that when using a nav app it only happens when the voice is speaking AND only when your source is NOT on BT. In other words, if you are already on the BT source, streaming music or something, I don't think it will happen. However, if you're listening to Sirrius XM or a CD or radio, then it will make the "phantom call" (sounds like the title to the next Metal Gear Solid game!).

Anyway, to the OP, whatever you have happening definitely sucks. I'm also running iOS 9 as of the last day or two and have noticed no issues but I'll play around with it a bit more to see. I will tell you that there are some major software bugs in the system. I just dealt with a crazy issue where the guidance lines on my rearview camera screen disappeared! The camera worked fine when put into reverse, there were just no lines at all and also hitting the "+" button in the corner would not change the camera angle as it normally would.

Long story short, the car was at the dealership for 3 days for this until they finally got it fixed! Not sure what exactly they did but they had a lot of problems and I believe they essentially "reformatted" the Sync system. As a side note, whereas I used to get the pony logo on the screen upon startup, I now get a "Ford" logo...

Mine does this on my android phones as well as windows phone, it will say its connected but every time i try to go to bt audio it will disconnect the phone. Only way i have found to fix it is to pull the battery cable, then it will last for a month or so. Base radio also, no touchscreen.

Master reset doesnt do squat and repairing does nothing also.

The same issues is happening to me. No audio and the Bluetooth will disconnect even though it will still recognize my phone with the antenna symbol.

I haven't tried the master reset. I'll give this a shot today.
Just did a master reset. Still able to recognize the phone but will not play any audio. Not even through sync usb connection either.
Turned off Siri. Still doesn't play the audio. I even restarted my phone and turned the car off and on just for good measure.
Hi Felixthecat,

Great troubleshooting! Would you happen to have another phone to try? This will help isolate the issue.

Ok. And I went out to record a video of what mine was doing and guess what... it's working like normal again. I hate technology :headbonk:
unintelligible,

Glad it started working again. Let me know if you need further assistance.

This is simply friction between Siri and the other, other woman in your life, The MFT Princess. Turning Siri off only makes the problem worse as she will seek revenge by triggering random calls to you like the stalker that she is (data and roaming charges may apply).

Seriously, this seems to be a BT issue but I do not know yes, why it surfaces in ios 9. I am intermittently having the same issue. I wouldn't be surprised if it were another attempt to make you pay for something you already own by requiring MFT to be pulled into iTunes so you can experience reduced sound quality for twice the price. Apple FTW?!

I can't even get my new iphone to pair to Sync. The car simply doesn't see it. Yes, BT is turned on in the phone. Ford says support for IOS is up to 9.0.1 and of course I have 9.0.2. Thought it would at least see my phone, weird. My 4S worked fine but my 6S, nope.

I just realized after reading how new the 6S is now. We went in to upgrade my wife's phone and I said "what the heck might as well" for myself. Guess I may be waiting for a while, lol.

Hi Genxer,

I'd like to help get you connected! Which system do you have: owner.ford.com/how-tos/sync-technology/all/get-started-with-sync/how-to-identify-your-sync-version.html

I just have the base system. When I tell SYNC to add a phone it doesn't recognize there is a phone in the car. I have already deleted the old phone from the system and I made sure that bluetooth is turned on in my phone. I did notice the iPhone has a "CarPlay" feature as well. Tried that too with no recognition. My salesman paired the original phone for me so I havent actually done it myself though it looks pretty straightforward. I noticed that Ford does not specify support for the iPhone 6s yet just the 6 and 6+.

Genxer,

Try following these steps to pair your phone: http://owner.ford.com/sync-technology/pair-your-phone-sync Let me know if this helps.
