I am about to bail on Ford for good. C#$p service from Ford, and no communication other than me chasing the dealer for the last 10.5 months.
Does that mean you are cancelling your contract?

If so what was it you had on order?

One annoyance I have, is the passenger mirror is about 50mm further back than the drivers mirror. It's mounting bracket is angled at approximately 45 deg, and the drivers is almost 90 deg. This means that to look at the left rear view mirror, what you mostly see is the side of the mirror, with just a sliver of mirror to be seen. Not only is this dangerous, but is just poor design. No modification for RHD, even though they are designed for european spec.
This is exactly what I said with my review, the passenger side mirror is in the wrong spot and it is pretty dangerous to be honest that you can't use the mirror properly. Also to make the car feel as it should put it into sport mode, driving around in just normal is pretty sedate and boring

That mirror thing is a good spot. To be honest, I hardly use side mirrors on a non-ute so probably will not bother me. I'm more of a can't get a visual, don't try to overtake kind of person - I take a WW2 fighter pilot approach to driving! Still, not an excuse for bad design.

On the speed, was it really slow or just seemed slow? Some cars just effortlessly deliver and you don't realize how fast you are going. Most older Mustangs have sound and fury, but don't really move that quickly. Convertible may feel faster as you are more 'connected' to what's going on in the outside world, while the EB will of course handle better with less weight over the front.

From what I understand, you need to spin the Coyote up into higher revs to get to its sweet spot, whereas, say, an LS3 will pull from lower revs.

The most annoying part about that is they gave us the dumbo ear mirrors for safety and they appear to not be safe anyway haha.:shrug:

In 20-30 years when we're all sitting on rocking chairs on our porch looking at our 2015/16 mustangs in the driveway...

...we'll reminisce about all these strange quirks these cars have and it'll feel like they all added up to something special.

Have a look at any old car with strange features, typically now these are utterly delightful haha

I drove an auto GT the other day. The speed-to-looks-to-small compromises ratio was spot on.

Bring on mid April!!!

I'll still be checking track and trace.

Aus-MustangGT Does it look like it could be fixed? (mirror)

Might take it apart and see what's causing it. Or take it in to a bodyshop for some sort of fabrication work.

Something like that would definitely piss me off.

I don't think it can be fixed to be honest, I am just making the best of what I have, my mirror is angled so far in that if I push it a little it will click back out. just a design flaw unfortunately

It also makes no sense how our dumbo mirrors don't have BLIS

Agree. I don't really need it, but my dad is thinking of getting a new car, and a Mustang came up in discussion, but he wants a car with that because he can't move his neck easily these days (has a BA Falcon Ute as everyday driving car, plus an older Mustang). He was in a Toyota Aurion with that and it impressed him. If he ever buys and Aurion I will disown him :) - can you disown a father?

I just had a look at mine, it's definitely like that by design - I don't know why they would design it like that though.

It hasn't bothered me, but the seat is all the way back for my driving position.

Will be interesting to see how long Endurance cars take to be released to the dealer. Cars currently on Endurance will be the first to arrive on our shores which were exposed to the Baltimore storm.
What do you think a storm/blizzard would do Drewbo? I'm imagining there wasn't too much debris flying about in a car yard space, but don't know. Perhaps a US/Canadian Mustang owner might know more about what lots of snow/cold does to a car. Does it affect the electrics? I suppose it's pretty common for cars to get covered in snow in that part of the world.

My car is supposedly being built in September, and if it's going to sit around the dock for weeks/months, I don't know what's worse, being left in the hot sun, or getting dumped in snow.

As someone from SE Queensland, I just can't imagine. Hopefully there are no major problems.

I remember a Canadian once telling me that they had Corvette season, because if you took the Corvette out after a certain date, it would crack or something like that (being fibreglass or composite or whatever it is), which meant you didn't need to have winter tyres for a Corvette.

WildB, isn't it just because they didn't bother changing the set-up from LHD, i.e., the staggering of the mirrors is designed for someone sitting in the passenger seat? (I think someone said that above) Maybe set it up for that and sit in the passenger seat. If it's all looks good, they simply haven't bothered to cater for people like us, i.e., the RHD market :(.

Not sure to be honest - but remember that this storm was the second worst in recorded history for that part of the world.

Something certainly happened as many cars (according to W&W tracking) were marked for return to Ford in the shipment manifests that appeared in the days/weeks following the storm. I cannot recall a single reported case of that occurring prior.

Perhaps they were damaged during the storm or maybe they were damaged during the "dig out" (possibly a more likely scenario).

Either way, we could have done without it.
