I'm new to this Ford ordering process and was curious if anyone knows how many levels of Priority Codes there are and if there's any logic/system to their numbering and fulfillment?

IIRC, 1-20. 20 being the lowest.

10 being the highest priority your dealer can assign themselves.
9 and under can be assigned by the regional rep.

Priority 1 is for special situations... like when those R's were stolen from Flat Rock.

My understanding is that all retail customer orders are given a priority code in the range of 10 - 19, 10 being best. Anything lower than 10 is for dealer stock or other special circumstances. This was confirmed to me by Ford Performance on a call this morning.

What is unclear to me is the correlation between the priority code and when the Ford Regional Rep pulls an order for build... I assume there is a natural correlation, but it's unclear to me and that happens to be what I'm waiting on right now.

1-10 assigned by rep for special circumstances, 11-20 for customer order. With that said I wasn't in a hurry to get my car due to schedule. They special ordered my car as a priority 21 and it still only took from 3/4 to 4/26 order to delivery.

Was it a high volume dealer?

Yea. I think they had another 350 at a higher priority and that affected mine also. As they both came at the same time. That and the end of ordering for 2016's.

My understanding is that it only matters if the dealer has multiple allocations.

Okay, so aside from the question of "10" being assigned by the Rep or Dealer (would love to know which), Priority 11-20/21 are self-imposed by the dealer? or is that in some way influenced by what quarter the allocation is assigned to?

Guess I'm confused why a dealer would self-impose a lower priority unless it's customer based which, aside from some as mentioned, I can't seeing happening that frequently.

The info I got from my regional rep is that the allocations are not assigned a quarter for a build. I found this out after I pressed my salesman to ask the rep which quarter my allocation was assigned. I was told that is the way it used to work but not anymore. My R order priority is a 15. And that being said, my dealer and rep have no idea when my allocation will get built, but I was guaranteed that it will get built under any circumstance (short model year etc). I was told to be careful what I read on the Internet because a lot of people don't really know how the process works. That includes me, so YMMV. This is simply what I got from my dealer/rep after pressing the issue.

In my instance, the dealer had 3 R allocations. I believe they are given a priority based on who they want built first, second, and third. But that doesn't guarantee that will be the order it gets done, because ford decides which order is built first etc. Again, YMMV (see above).

It is my understanding that dealer can assign 10+ priority. Anything lower than 10 is assigned by rep and ford.
They have not given me any info on build quarter. Both reps from different regions said we dont have build quarters assigned.
Ford is picking regions in some order they designed and picking up cars.
I was told by the salesman yesterday that the rep mentioned she was hopeful that my allocation would be picked up this week. She said that no allocations had been picked up in her region yet (and its not in the boonies). I was the second to order an R in that region.
i think they are picking up anywhere from 40 to 50R's/ week. I heard there are around 60 regions, is that correct? Who knows how many per region they pick up at a time.
