Really don't know the value of this car for the future ! I think in 5 year the value will be to the roof but the problem is, you have to sell it ! In US it will be easier, here in Europe it's a nightmare to sell a US car !

I didn't think so, lol. You track a boxster. The point of the discussion was enjoying these R models for what they are. Instead you tucked yours away and wound up selling out.

Have fun in your boxster, things move much much slower in those things. Come on out to Daytona some day, but then again, they probably wouldn't let you run in my group.

A well driven Spec Boxster laps Daytona @2:10-2:15, your R (driven by you) with 337 HP more does it 2:15-2:20. That is all I am going to say.......

No offense Dr. but all that video shows is nothing.
The only time I’ve ever driven on a track was at Track Attack and my videos look just like that. When your hands are tied behind your back, it’s hard to really wring the GT350 out.
I think all Tomster is pointing out is you really haven’t pushed the GT350 on track…..but then again I could be wrong.
No doubt you can drive but…..

You are very far off. I run Daytona in an R at 2:05 (best lap). The times you speak of are by newbs. 2:15 to 2:20? You have no clue.

Is your car ever going to be on BaT?

So, I used to say I wouldn't consider an offer less than 500K. (That was my "It's not for sale" price.) I'll probably need to up that to $1M, but I still don't want to see a real offer for 500K because I REALLY like this car and I don't want to see it gone.

I used to have a 66 Shelby that I had to let go when times got tough and I had to make a choice between that or three employees being laid off. I miss that car every day. I don't know if I believe in karma, but if that's real, this car was nice payback. (As soon as the economy in my area recovered, those three people were offered more from other places and jumped. I never let them know what sacrifice I made on their behalf, but inside I felt like a fool for a while.) I tried to buy it back one day when I had the money, but the guy I sold it to in Houston that said he would never sell it flipped it to someone in California. I asked if I could get that person's contact info and he declined.

I insulated myself financially before I started buying cars again, so that won't happen to me in the future, but it was quite the life lesson. That's part of the reason why this car is so special to me, thus why I put such a ridiculous price on it. That's probably hard for cynical people to understand, but if anyone's ever been through a situation like that, they would understand.

If anyone wants to offer me $150K for my 2019 GT350 with 20K miles (admittedly not an R, much less a 2020 HEP R) I will gladly accept it.
