The average price for a 2020 HEP R is around 139k currently. This includes 5 different cars sold over the last 3 months. If we look at the ZR1's that have sold over the same time span, we're looking at an average of 195k. This includes 6 different models. Also a interesting note, there have been 3 ZR1's during this time that were put in auction and did NOT sell.https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2019-chevrolet-corvette-zr1-44/
This is an interesting comparo to the GT350R HEP auctions. Two great iconic American autos which will be the signoffs for their platforms… but, look at the excitement about the HEPRs vs the ZR1. The HEPRs are generating a lot more excitement.
Good points… but, when I think about it, this is more like the uniqueness and scarcity of the R, along with the factory aero. The average price for a 2020 HEP R is around 139k currently. They built almost 3,000 ZR1's in 2019 (2,441 coupes and 512 convertibles.) The HEP R still has a ways to go, but I could see it catching the ZR1 in a few years. It's certainly more rare.
Are you referring to that Viper ACR-E as being $96k in 2016? It wasn't. The viper with ACR extreme and carbon package came in at around $150k. I was originally going to buy an ACR extreme back in 2016 and decided on the 350R instead. Ironically it was the Viper forums that made me aware of the 350R. I wasn't a Mustang guy and had no idea the GT350 even existed haha.Good points… but, when I think about it, this is more like the uniqueness and scarcity of the R, along with the factory aero.
Look at that appreciation… brand new in 2016, $96k… where’s my mic drop emoji?
You’re right. I forgot to look to the right side of the windows sticker. Thanks for the correction. Are you referring to that Viper ACR-E as being $96k in 2016? It wasn't. Looks like I better up the coverage on the Rented Mule. This is very anecdotal, but I had Hagerty update the guaranteed values on my cars last week and this is what they came back with:
2018 GT350R- $125k
2016 GT350 FPRS #3- $75K
2014 Boss 302S- $75k
as far as I know /as Long as you aren’t being silly with the value - they do what you ask. They are happy to sell you more insurance because they charge per $10k ;)This is very anecdotal, but I had Hagerty update the guaranteed values on my cars last week and this is what they came back with:

Of course, none of these are “wrapper” cars and they all have a bunch of track time… so not representative examples of “top of the market” cars. But it’s interesting that their internal underwriters are supporting these values.

Final prediction: $150k with fees
The 3k miles will most likely keep this one down a little. But who knows. The market for these are changing so fast it's hard to say what will happen. If BaT can land another wrapper HEP R it might be the first R to reach 200k. I bet it happens before fall of this year.
I'll also bet $100 that a new GT350R will be posted on BaT within 24hr, lol. I wonder how many they have lined up?
Most insurance companies will not let you over-insure a car because that would create an incentive for you to total it, collect the money, replace it at a lower cost, and profit. That said, Hagerty may not be as thoughtful about this as mainstream insurance companies, or they may have decided that in their niche business of insuring rare and collectable cars that it's too hard to control for this.as far as I know /as Long as you aren’t being silly with the value - they do what you ask.
