Tremec TR3160 out of a GT350, bought locally for the intention of swapping it into my 2016 GT. Decided to go the boosted route and this transmission isn’t capable of handling the power I need it to. May need to find a solution for the vent tube I’m not sure how bent they’re required to be to fit in the trans tunnel, this one seems to be bent a lot as seen in the first pic from being on a shelf in a trans shop.
Local pickup would be preferred but will ship if necessary at buyers expense.
Asking $2,000 +shipping

What more is needed to swap a tr3160 to a 2016 gt?

Also, "this transmission isn’t capable of handling the power I need it to" — for what power is it good?

Clutch, Flywheel, Driveshaft, Shifter, Differential flange for new driveshaft unless you have a custom one made.

As far as power, I’d say this is a replacement for the MT-82. If you’re going to supercharge or turbo you’re car, stay away. There’s no direct answer to the specific power/torque rating online. Moral of the story, if you plan on doing a few bolt-ons/tune/e85 you’ll be more than fine and this swap will do wonders for your driving experience. Boost however, that’s the danger zone.

...don’t tell that to all the boosted GT350s 😉
Has to be in the the back of their mind, just like my stock MT-82 with nearly 60k miles and McLeod RXT on a boosted car :whew:
