GT350 Tremec 3160 Trans

Trans was removed from my 2016 Tech Pack. Transmission has 6500 miles on it with no track days, missed shifts or burnouts. Probably the best 6 speed from Ford to date. Great replacement for the M82. Bolts up to the Coyote/modular Ford. May require a driveshaft change, depending on the application. Tough, light, designed for road racing. Ratios are (1) 3.25, (2) 2.23, (3) 1.61, (4) 1.24, (5) 1.00, (6) .63, (R) 2.95. A simple Google search will give all the technical details if you need more info.

In 2016 you had to choose between either the Technology package or the Track package. Since my car was going to be primarily a street car, I chose the Tech package. (Wanted the comfort amenities, better stereo, leather seats, etc.). But I do like to track my car. Because of the unique under car aero of the GT350 and the fact that the catalytic converters sit right next to the trans, tracking a Tech pack car overheats the trans and it goes into limp mode after any serious track time. This problem is unique to the GT350. Wanting to keep my car all OEM (probably NOT the best choice), I ordered and installed the Track package transmission which has an internal pump which feeds an external cooler. (Should have just added an external pump as others have done). So, unless you have the underbody cladding of the GT350 AND exhaust right up against your trans AND seriously track your car, this should not be a problem in any other application.
