The premium model's with Adaptive Cruise have Collision Warning, which is just a red light that flashes (and the car pre-charges the brakes) when you're coming up too fast on the car in front of you. Not sure if the shift light can be installed, maybe someone else has had luck with that?

Our 401A dash lights (Tach and speedo) up when we are at the limit, or what some call the shift point.
It almost acts like it starts as a soft orange and hardens to a darker red as you get closer the the max cutoff point. But, I could be wrong as it is not on long enough to really tell. Maybe once we get our car back I will play with it...

The Tach illumination on my 2011 Premium V6 glows RED when I hit redline, so I'd guess it has been standard on ALL '11-up Premiums as well.
As far as getting this feature to work on a base model cluster without "My-Color" I'd say NO it is not possible.
