I d have to see it on a Window Sticker from the factory before I d say that PP2 could get the stripe. Just assuming from what I ve seen. You could very well be correct. If I was buying a totally stock PP2 on purpose it would be a "show me" moment, LOL.

edit /. guess I m saying that when you add some packages it eliminates certain option, again guessing cause I ve never seen one.

Trust me, it was available, I almost bought a PP2 in California that had the optional stripe before I found my PP2 locally, it was race red. Yes, it was listed on the window sticker. Was looking at PP2’s for a couple of months in 2020, looked at a lot of window stickers.

Page 10 has the stripe, no mention of it not being available on a PP2. Probably hard to find one, since the only one I have ever seen was the one I almost bought.

PP2 could be optioned with the Euro Rally style stripes which was a wide and thin stripe. You just couldn't order the painted black roof for some reason.

Yeah, the black roof was part of an appearance package, not available with either PP1 or PP2. I do occasionally consider buying the vinyl roof decal to give the appearance of the black roof, but haven't done it yet, maybe someday.

When I was looking for a PP2 ,(and they were rare), I found one in Glasgow, Ky and it had this stripe. I didn't like the color, the strip, or the price, so I passed.
Appearance options for the PP2 were very limited.

Now that I think of it, that Euro Rally style stripe style was the only stripe type offered on any Mustang (non shelby/mach one) car. They didn't offer anything else. Maybe the California Special had something subtle.

Just read through all the recent responses after my stripe question.

My question wasn’t for any particular car that may be currently for sale - it was a general question after seeing the option listed on an actual PP2 window sticker. It did not state on the sticker whether it was painted or vinyl, so that spawned my question.

Also “yes” that is the stripe in question seen in the above image.
