Because it was actually wind tested to match the splitter. If you wanted pretty you should just get a base GT.

yea it was ENGINEERED to give us more down force at 80mph man.

Count me in. Drove 2 hours to take a look at a PP2 with 301, left the dealership with a 401A PP2.
Do we know the production numbers for 2018 and 2019? I was going through this and couldn't find exact data.
AND yes, I did put a PP1 spoiler (the PP2 was too small and I got this brand new from a guy 20 mins away from my house for a $100 - will probably buy something else soon but for $100 ;)

I will let you know if I lost 7lb of downforce at 80MPH comparing to the PP2 spoiler hahahah

Trunk lid Spoilers have another function besides looking cool at the Sonic. Besides adding drag, the spoiler will increase flow under the car, increasing down force. I doubt my speeds in a standing start Mile will cause traction problems.
