Well, Dealer got a hold of me this morning. Car needs a new shift fork and synchronizer for second gear. They have parts ordered and should have the car back next week. My question now is, Is there anything I should be concerned with? Anything I should have the dealer install while they have the tranny down and open? Seems odd that something like this would happen after 1800 miles. I mean I am not that hard on her!
Mine popped out of 1st gear the night I drove off the lot. Pretty sure it's synchro, but I dropped my car off tonight for TSB work that might not even fix the issue...

List of other issues from the lot:

- Loud howling noise specifically at 115 km/h. Go slower or faster and it's gone. There is a feint version of that noise at 50 km/h. I highly doubt it's the tires because the noise would always be there and progressively get louder - not just at specific speed. Probably wheel bearing?
- Car aggressively lunging forward when upshifting above 5k RPM - I don't know if it's a "feature" of a twin-disk clutch, but the car just lunges forward each time I rev out a gear and upshift. The only other way to describe it is when you accelerate and bring your RPMs up and then upshift from like 3d to 6th or something. RPMs are faster than the wheels so the car lunges forward.
- When upshifting from 4th to 5th, the car blips the throttle a bit as if I'm downshifting. Asked them to look for the rev matching tune update or something along those lines.

I've been watching various videos for aftermarket parts. One of the reasons for me going with a PP2 over a PP1 is so I wouldn't need to do much if anyhting at all to cure so of the poor factory components or the inherent "issues" of owning this type of car. I'm wondering from you that have been driving the PP2 if things like rear wheel hop under acceleration is fixed with this package?

Here’s an absolutely terrible picture of mine in the 30 minutes we had sunshine last Friday, outside of this one picture it’s been raining the entire time. I can at least attest that the SC2’s aren’t *too* terrible in the rain.

Wheel hop is definitely not fixed on the PP2 cars.

I am a firm believer that "parts bin cars" make some of the best buys out there. The Bullet being a fine example of that. I only have 700 miles on my 19 PP2 but it is a blast to drive. You HAVE to stay engaged with the car or it is going to cost you. The kidney busting suspension can be a bit more at times but it pays off once you get an open back road.

I do wish they had a "comfort" mode for the suspension like they do for the steering. The only complaints I have is it is rather gutless keeping it under 4k RPM and the M-82 leaves A LOT to be desired however it feels capable in the car. It's clunky, not smooth, and now I'm hearing a "clunk" about 1 of out 10 times when I press the clutch in from a stop to shift it into 1st.

I remember hearing that clunk when I test drove a PP1 that only had 22 miles on it. Thanks for the info on the PP2. I figured that the suspension would be firm but not kidney busting......I guess I should wear a kidney belt lol

Cory, it’s not any worse than a pickup truck in Normal mode (at least, it’s smoother than my 96 F350 when it’s empty) when you switch to sport plus or track all bets are off.

Suspension stiffness is all relative. On good roads it is obviously not a problem. If you are on a bad road or hit a rut it is VERY noticeable. Some of it is the 305 tires that make it hard to steer away from some ruts and the 30 series sidewall isn't helping.

It isn't life altering but if you are coming from a tamed daily driver like I was it can be a bit of an eye opener at times.

I will add that I haven't got the turning radius down on this car yet. It seems like it is rather big and I've had to 3 point turn a few times where I felt I should have had plenty of space.
