Yesterday, I was downshifting into first gear on my manual GT and my mustang sent the error codes of power train error and pre collision assist off. My car then proceeded to go into limp mode. Thankfully, I was only a mile or so from my house, so I turned off the car a few times at stop lights. When I parked, I checked some of the electrical connectors in the engine bay to make sure they were secure. After an hour of sitting in my garage, I restarted my car and the power train fault and pre collision assist off error were gone completely and car was driving normal. Should I be concerned and go take it into the dealership or leave it and only be concerned if it comes back?

The same thing happened to me on my 2020 mustang gt at around the 9,000 miles mark. The car has almost 25,000 miles now and it hasn’t done it since the 9k miles.

Odds are that the dealership will do nothing at this point. All those codes should be stored permanently, so if the errors come back, they should be able to see the history.

I'll bet it was just "one of those things" that occasionally happens with these very highly computerized cars, and you'll be fine.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. I had a similar issue with my 2021 Bronco after using the Sand GOAT mode. Restarted the car a couple times and it was cleared.
