80 mi on the snake, 70 mph speed limit on interstate. In drive with no shifting. Wrench iight came on showed powertrain default code, pulled over and on shoulder, turned ign off then on, light stayed on.
Turned it off let it set 5 min. then light stayed off. Told her to get back on road, try again......Any thoughts/,suggestions what it might have been? Maybe just a little micro second electron glitch? ............ My wife is driving it home 400 mi to Tx.

First Kelly, I hope the light was a one time thing.

But please tell us the story behind you having your wife bring your girl home, I'm dying to know. :-)
275 miles down the road. No other issues, guess just a glitch..it was a little spooky....
KB, Her bringing it home, I had to stay in Tejas and work.....rk

I believe the wrench means dif fluid change required. Usually would come on after 500mi of track use.

I’m not sure why it would come on after 80mi. Page 44 in the GT500 supplement

GF04, It had been stored in a garage overnight, and was probably 38*f /Ks. when she left and driven 10 mile when wrench came on. Message display read powertrain. Maybe affecting viscosity till it warmed up? Voodoo, rodger that, will try to get it on a machine in the morning.., Almost here and will check it out.
Thanks all for the tips. Once known will advise..............rk

After things settle down, RK, find those overalls and get a shot wearing them next to the new girl. :-)

I wish I could bottle the excitement I felt cuz I know you're feeling it, too and it would be nice to be able to take "a swig or two" from time to time.

Oh yeah, and thank her profusely. <smile>

Congrats, dude and I'm betting the wrench was just due to the temps and thicker than usual gear grease.

I like to disassemble things.

Along these lines, I'd get under the car and check for any leaks and verify fill level in the differential housing.

I like to disassemble things.
If the light came on and went back off I'd also be checking the harnesses and sensors out back. Intermittent issues can be tough to pin down.
