Power pack or Bama tune

I’m looking into either the ford performance power pack 2 or the jlt performance cai and bama rev-x tuner. Only other mods on the car are a h-pipe and borla axle back exhaust. Just looking for some input on which is the better path.

If you dont plan on changing anything after the tune, i'd say the Power Pack 2 is better. Bama tunes seem to be hit or miss. I have the Power Pack 2 and love it. Definitely noticeable difference when driving.

If you plan on additional performance mods maybe Bama would be a good temporary option because you will not be able to add anything else (Headers, Different CAI, etc) with the Power Pack.

If you’re going tune only and don’t intend to get into E85, headers, FI, etc, the power pack is perfect for you. I have also heard some not so great things about bama. A few have had some notable driveability issues.

If you have e85 in your area definitely consider tuning for that with one of the major tuners like AED, Lund, PBD etc. Far better bang for your buck and performance increase. Now if its not available I would still say headers and a custom tune from one of the above. Now if it's only between the two original options then FP2.

I just got back into the Mustang scene coming out of BMW M cars, but from my understanding they aren't good anymore.

Bama tunes are fine. And you got some flexibility. You won't be setting any micro records though haha.
