Hi. I'm in the US. I acquired a set of the larger power fold away mirrors for my Mustang. I'm unable to find the part number for the relay that's used for the folding. I've tried looking on the Ford parts UK site but that website rarely works. I've looked for UK VINs to try on US part sites but it's almost impossible to find a UK VIN even on used Mustangs. I’ve asked the Mustang UK group on Facebook as well.

Anyone know the part number for this or is willing to help me look for it?

Where in the car, would we find the relay you're interested in?

(I'm puzzled you bought U.K. / Euro mirrors, I much prefer the U.S. versions)

My base model Mustang didn't have turn signals in the mirrors. Too many times other vehicles would not see me moving lanes. So I went to eBay and found I could buy these larger mirrors for half the price. I love the extra visibility I get. Going through the car wash, my passenger mirror no longer folds in from the brush. I'm quite happy.

I have two pictures from the Ford repair website. RelayLocation.jpg shows in red (reference number C3276) where the relay is located. RelayConnector.jpg shows the plug that is used for the relay.

Ah! A safety issue. That makes total sense.
:thumbsup:

The schematics will help one of us find it.
I should be able to check my own car in a few days, if nobody beats me to it.
I'll check back soon.
:)

Pretty sure I’ve got a UK vin you can use on my pc at work - I took it off a forecourt car when I wanted to buy some parts and ford hadn’t released my vin.

Give us a nudge if you don’t get sorted and I forget :like:

doesnt your car come with the Driver Door Module and Passenger Door Modules? (i thin US spec ones do actually have the DDM and PDM where as ours dont) if so if you find the correct wiring where to hook it up you can programme it in? like with the fusion/mondeos? i've got the wiring diagrams for the fusion which i'll take a look at and get back to you

if your US mustang does have the DDM and PDM then wire up the mirrors to the corresponding pins on this diagram and code it in via forscan if you look at the F150 pages the code for the DDM/PDM, the mirrors is in there: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uDSQ1Z5a2Wt8-kjrSiVSlDFGFHnfeuhb3RTMVz95730/htmlview#

let us know how you get on

@WD Pro

I think the OP's car is an Ecoboost?

I was planning to go get an EB VIN today and PM the OP.

@Chappers.
Good post! Will the OP still need the relay info?

I once fitted folding mirrors to an A5 and it was as you suggest, just do the wiring and then pogram the CANsys.

Forscan?

It does not. I believe those modules are used in Mustangs with the memory seats/mirrors. I did take a screenshot of the modules Forscan found.

It is an Ecoboost and thank you. I know the EB models are less common in the UK, but do both have the folding mirrors?
