How big of a difference in hp? My 2017 Mustang GT just hit 10k miles in 2 years. I have 1 year left on my warranty. I’m planning to get the VMP gen 2 and probably add a few suspension after the charger and that’s about it for awhile. E85 tune on this car is really that good?

Not real sure but you'll max out around 480 whp NA, give or take. A VMP blower is gonna put you around 650 whp (gas tune) and over 700 whp (e85) with nothing else so yes there is going to be a big difference. I think that is what you're asking lol

Not even a close comparison. Depending on how you have it tuned and how you set up the bypass valve on the vmp the vmp set up is going to feel much much faster in all driving situations. Run the vmp on e85 with cat deletes, I dont think the headers are a good value when running the vmp on a stock car, on e85, vmp, pump and bap, cai for vmp, you can have as much power as you can handle with pulley swaps until you are fuel system limited.

I’m planning to do the vmp now with 93 octane. I’ll skip the e85, and the exhaust system for awhile because vmp will drain the bank lol. I want to stay away upgrading the pump unless the kit comes with it. I want to get a supercharger stock friendly until I’m ready to go for bigger numbers. Shop install will cost me $1,100 to $2,200 smh.

How much hp until the fuel pump can’t provide the fuel properly?

Call and ask VMP, they have these combos dialed in perfectly. Im sure part of the answer will be if you are willing to add octane booster at every fill up or do you want a safer tune and pulley combo that will have a safety factor built in for pump gas that may actuallybe 91 instead of 93, etc.

On the street a milder vmp set up may feel and be faster because you won't be fighting traction issues as severely. I know my TVS blower car was totally useless on the street until I started running a drag pack wheel set up with 275/60./15 MT DR tires.Even then if it was less than 75 degrees outside it was spin city.

Down the road whenyou are redy for the fuel system the E85 will make a huge difference. Ditching the cats is very worthwhile too if you can do it where you live. Catless and E85 smells good, kind of like vodka. Catless and 93, well that stinks like old school muscle. Some like it, I don't but dothink the catless E85 set up smells pretty bad ass

How come I never thought about calling them lol. The smell of catless and v8 will always smell good. I guess I need to add a wider rims so this car can stay on the road. I have the 235/50/18 currently on this car. My 2002 Gt with 100 shot of nitrous and 275 was struggling to stay planted lol. Thanks.

I started just like you. I got the VMP gen2r stage 2 kit on my 2016, and started with an 85mm pulley on 91 octane. It was a blast. I’m down to a 79mm on E85 now, so it keeps growing. If you have the coin, I’d do a stage 3 just for the rotor efficiency and the easy power. If not, nothing less than the stage 2. It is now a better kit than what I got, so you can make enough on it to push your stock bottom past the point of no return. You definitely need to call them. Great people, great stuff, and great fun!

I’m actually getting excited now because I know I’m getting a supercharger. The warranty is up in a year so I have time to save up and buy it cash. I’m trying to avoid using my credit card but I got it. I got the money for lth, mid pipe and tune. I realized I loud car will annoy me and can’t even take down a 392 scat pack guys and new camaro lol. I’m going big this time.

I gain 7mph in the 1/2 with a switch to E85.

Keep the roush blower, it isn't that bad. What you need is a good elbow, TB and intake on that car, along with E85. 800rwhp will be super easy. I would look into VMP's elbow, and a whipple monoblade TB. with your choice of intake. the S550 engine bay is cramped compared to the S197 so you cant run the DD149 intake ( which is the Mac daddy of TVS intakes) but the PMAS and JLT aren't bad either.

IF you really want some power. get the XBA elbow, and Kenne Bell 168 TB. Ran that on my GT500 and it made stupid good power for the boost level I was running.

As far as fuel, the tried and true setup is a Sai li system and ID1050x.

Get those tires and brakes handled first before you get someone killed lol 235's with a VMP and the base brakes that come on the Mustang will create a monster that I would not want to be driving.

I'm kind on new to the S550's but I plan trying the MT SS 265/45/18's on my stock rims. The car (18' GT A10) came with the same 235/50/18 you are talking about, it was someone bearable stock but now on the E85 tune they are just spinning all the time.

I don’t have have a Roush charger lol. But I will look at what you mentioned once I’m ready to move up.
