Spotted these whilst out for my lunchtime walk to get me out of the office :

They were outside ASDA (Walmart) in the verge next to the pavement.

Whilst hedgehogs are quite common around here (I don’t think you get them in the states ?), it’s rare to see them out at this time of day and this small for the time of year - approx 4.5” long.

Someone was getting a box to rescue them as it’s unlikely that these two will make it through winter without a little assistance

Today I lost my Boo Cat. She was my little puma.

When I first saw her she did the Halloween cat pose, hence her name Boo. My time with her was too short. She was a brave and adventurous kitty. A great hunter. Yesterday I watch her kill a big mouse then eat it. I'll miss her dearly.

I think she was hit by a car. My greatest fear with her. I was told a person then tossed her down a step bank. I got her back and made it right.

Still have my two boys cats though and my dog. I just am really sad.

Meet Lizzy. Today marks three weeks with us.

We had been tentatively looking for an all-black kitten to counteract the forces of a big all-white tom that rules the house. Then, a feral mom had a litter on my brother's property, and several weeks later she moved the rest and abandoned this little girl. Well, she's blackish. Close enough.

She got her name after spending the hour drive home (and the following day) listening to her panicked, constant screeching - named after Lzzy Hale, another little lady with a big voice.

we live on a small farm.
we aren’t “cat people”.
then a cat showed up.
we fed him milk and scraps.
we called him Winston.
Winston ended up prego.
Winston turned into Winnie.
Winnie had 6 kittens.
we quickly fixed Winnie.
found homes for all kittens.
Winnie is now our barn cat.
this is Winnie in the back of a John Deere Gator…

…she is awesome
