BTW: there is some plastic wrap on the delivered cars you would have to remove like the one above the grill with the factory number on it. Also if you put your plate on the back naked the lower edge of the plate will scratch the paint on the bumper so bring a frame as you don’t want their frame with their name on it.

I’m really appreciating all these tips and insight, this is my first brand new car ever and it’s a lot to take in

One more thing as you wipe down the car and check for imperfections. All Mustangs will have a little waviness in the door panel above the handle. Probably from attaching the door hardware there. This is factory perfect unfortunately. You will have to live with that, so the dealer gets a pass.

Typically you will see one obvious wave near the front of the handle and possibly another wave in the sheet metal behind it. Mine almost looked like a very minor ding - and I mean really minor. But that is a Mustang thing we all have, so you just accept it. But you will see it when everything is clean and shiny.

EDIT: now that you had me eye balling the door handles I noticed the most minor ding right where the other door handle meets the door panel on the other side that didn’t have that minor ding I talked about. There is no way this could happen after assembly so this is a factory thing. Maybe they have to press the panel against something to install the door locks.

A photo won’t work. You have to pass your head back and forth to see the distortion in the reflections to see it. Some have it worse than others. Oddly, that suspect area is covered with plastic from the factory so it won’t show scratches! :cwl: I only brought this up because you are really anal about condition and you will probably see this and think it is lot damage. Pretty sure it came from the factory this way... Dings under the door crease are not factory though.

Ah gotcha, well that sounds a lot less worrisome then i envisioned. I'm not TOO anal I think, I'd just like to be able to say i filled it up first and washed it first lol. Tomorrow is the day I speak with the dealership at 9 AM, then the waiting starts :( passing the time will be tough.

are you even a car guy if you don't want your POS old car to get totaled so you can afford a new one
Too true, most people are all like "if I get in an accident I want it to be an easy fix where I get the car back within a week". Me? Fuck it all the way up so I'm enjoying my new car within a week.

Had my heart broken a little bit... so the car won't be arriving until 5-7 Weeks. Seems like a Need For Green with the options I want is impossible to huntdown :( so now we just wait, I will buy a beater in the meantime, and it will just give me more time to save up money for the car, I'm just sad I'm losing good driving weather.

The full details of what I have on its way is:
2019 Need For Green Mustang GT Premium
Group 401A
10 Speed Automatic
Active Exhaust
B&O Premium Audio

Priced at 46,410
settled on 41,750

Is that an OTD price? Just seeing your from Illinois as well. Here in Chicago, if you live in the city area zip code, it's a 11% sales tax which is stupid high, so if I were to agree on a car at your "settled" price I'd basically be paying MSRP for it after taxes.

You live in unlucky Chicago, I'm Dupage County which I believe is the lowest tax in our rough state. 7% Tax I believe.

But yes unfortunately taxes put us right back at MSRP.
