3D printing using powdered metal and a LASER is cool, no doubt. I expect it's slow and expensive though. Too bad the article is just an advertisement. It would be a lot better article if it included information about relative cost, yield, reliability, material characteristics comparisons etc. It probably falls into the area of IP/industrial secrets, but if you really want to sell the technology you need that information.
