On cold start I have a loud clunk/popping noise when turning the wheel hard to one side. Usually 2-3 pops. Can also be felt in the wheel. As I alluded to in one of my other three threads the car is going into ford next week to get checked out but wanted to see if this was common or if there was an easy fix first

Curious to see what you find, this appears to be a common issue with no clear solution.

Some people it’s loose strut mounts, some it’s loose steering rack from what I’ve read. Sounds like fords problem to me the more I read

Couldn't make our own '22 500 pop. Tested on asphalt, concrete, & a low cut lawn. Forward/backwards, w/the steering wheel turned to full left lock.

Makes sense it may be somethin that is loose, as opposed to colliding or interfering components.

Cannot recall hearing/feeling this on our '19 Bullitt, but didn't do rigorous testing either. I rarely turn full lock on any given drive.

Hope to hear that they find something on your car to correct, to eliminate this issue.

bound or cold spring isolator rubber(s). bound sway bar link. tire deforming instead of 'sliding' on the pavement and 'releases' when you start rolling.

So it requires the right tires?
& the right asphalt?
Test on grass, concrete, & dry/wet asphalt then, as we did.
When warm no noise. On concrete no noise. Only asphalt. Maybe just the summer tires not liking sub 40 temps.

If you have ‘summer only’ tires and the temps are 40* or below, it’s the tires skipping across the surface of the pavement. It will sound like crunching gravel or like a bad ball joint “pop”.

Same exact thing is happening to mine, even started a thread about 2 months ago. Took my car in to get an oil change and a couple of other things looked at. Car was there for about a whole month and they did not find anything wrong apparently. Although, I am skeptical about their diagnosis. My seat started to move when braking and accelerating, making a clicking sound (Not Safe), Ford said they fixed it by replacing a certain part. Less than 24hrs after pickup I had the same issue. I had to call and get updates from Ford since they were nonresponsive all the time. I figure after calling multiple times for a status on my car they just said heck with this guy, just say we couldn't find anything. Oh and not to mention they scratched my rim. I was told to take it back to get redone and get the seat checked again. Afraid it will take them another whole month.

Please let us know if they find anything so I can go back to these jabronis and at least give them a sense of where to look for the problem.

I believe it’s the summer tires skidding on the pavement in the cold, sorry wish I had better news. It warmed up to 50 degrees here today and I never heard it.
