Poor Underbody Protection

Hi All ,Well yet another Mustang with terribly poor underbody protection.
I had a quick look myself sometime back and was NOT surprised that it was bad as there are several UK cars with this issue so today I Had the car on a ramp with another car to compare mine (June 2017) with a new one just in and they are as bad as ever.I Have Ford Customer Relations Number and about to open a case file with them but from experience with problems like this with Big Organisations it normaly gets knocked into the long grass.
Does anyone have Any contact details, been Satisfied/Dissatified or have Ford Re Done the under seal for you , Thanks in advance.

Regarding underseal.

Ignore going through ford centrally they're useless and fob you off.

I went to my dealer and told them it wasn't fit for purpose, and they agree'd to retro do it.

Regarding underseal, I'm currently working on another car, bought after mine, underseal is still trash, lots of overspray all over the underbody. Some leaky parts that haven't been sealed properly etc etc etc.




I think from the gigantic thread we had before, that Ford underseal at a minimum by subcontracting to a team in Zeebrugge. This team does the bare minimum (Cars go over a ramp and they spray it on, hense it being on exhaust components), Then these are classed as "EU MANUFACTURED" to dodge tax/quotas etc.

It took me a bit of back and forth, but legal notice they caved on, some have been easier.

I got Evans halshaw to redo my underseal and i was initially quite happy with the ease of which the negotiations took place . After the Evans halshaw bodyshop completed the job i took my car to an independent garage for new bodystripes after i got fed up waiting for them to fix flaking of my roof stripe. I got a phonecall from new garage stating that the new undersealing was awful and incomplete. I have to take it in to a ford approved credited garage to get rechecked then i have to get back in contact with the ford customer centre with the report . Thats where im at regarding the underseal saga as ive been too busy to take it in yet !

Oh on a sidenote i got 2 free services as a goodwill gesture regarding the carry on i had trying to replace the faulty ford roof stripe , which took nearly 10 weeks to arrive . On the day i eventually got fed up waiting and cancelled the warranty work on the stripe and told them to forget it ....hey presto i get a phone call half an hour later saying it had arrived. So the £500 i paid for the stripe has really gone on my next 2 services. I just wish the Ford aftersales care was as good as other £40k marques , but apart from these 2 little annoyances i love my motor.:ford:
