Cheers Gibbo. I'm in South Wales, after a quick Google no mention of a maha near me.

I will get back to JDM ASAP. I still don't feel like trusting a UK tuner to deal with the mustang.

As to gear for the testing, does it make a huge difference? It's nice for me to believe they may have done something wrong.

Still, a 2nd opinion seems to be the order of the day.

To low a gear makes a huge difference to the torque reading, horsepower not as much. Like I say cars should be run in the gear closest 1:1 on a dyno for most accurate results, this is 5th gear in the manual Mustang.

Pumabuild in Birmingham have a very good Maha, Ti Motorsport in Stoke-on-Trent also have a Maha. If you email maha or add them on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/MAHADynamometers/?fref=ts

Drop them a message and they will tell you places closest to you with a Maha.

Or if you fancy a trip out I shall be visiting Pumabuild one weekend soon maybe next Saturday (24th Sept) or maybe other members here would be interested in a dyno day?

Not decided yet if I am going, I need to as I want to see what this PMAS has done. :D

But maybe a few here would be interested in a dyno day and Pumabuild being Birmingham is pretty central.

Well; I'll be around there if you wanna do something, or some fly bys up the A38 with me.

Dyno wise; happy to pick up the slack of ecoboost benchmark ;)!

Gibbo205 your knowledge on these forums is amazing, top man thanks.

I'd be interested in a dunno run, mines stock but I'll still happy find out what she's running. Downside is I'm working an afternoon on the 24th... roll on October 1st when I'm off shift...

EDIT - not sure how to tag Gibbo... let myself down... will google

More edits... 5 attempts and I got there...

Can't do the next few weekends due to work, however I might give them a call and see about organising a mustang dyno day. BirmingNam is only about 9 tanks of fuel each way, not to far! Might aim for Nov and get another thread going to see if anyone is up for a dyno battle day

I have about 20 organised dyno days under my belt being a moderator on OcUK Motors forum as well as days with 911uk and MLR forums so I've learnt a little about dynos, the different types etc and how to run a car on them to get accurate figures. :)

You get to see your car going 150mph stationary and sounding awesome.

And Centurion, the car always felt healthy to me. Yes I fitted the exhaust and CAI on day 1 but it felt great. The JDM tune I had later on made the throttle response feel so much better. The car feels lovely, runs silky smooth.
There you go then.

No way you'd miss a +10% power loss via butt dyno so it's probably as others have suggested and is likely down to choice of gear.

OK as a few of you I shall drop Alan an FB message, see if he is free next Saturday for 3-5 Mustangs on the dyno. :)
