They had to do something with all the left over V6 emblems so they painted em and put them on these!

And those wheels look like a plain chrome version of the old Eco PP ones.

The are the 15-17 pp wheels, but in polished alluminum. Every bit of the pony pack is recycled haha

The wheels are definitely eco pp wheels polished but the tri bar emblem on the back is similar the v6 but is all new. Ford always recycles as much as possible the Blackout package wheels on the 17 Mustang were from the 15 my 50 Appearance package just painted black.

As a related side issue, does this mean there is now a corralled pony grill insert, for the designed '18 front end?

Looks a lot better than the 16-17 Pony Package. I've seen a few in the wild and just...terrible. The grille especially. These wheels are similar style but a definite improvement also.

Pony package has historically always been a V6 package, now it's EB.

Not a GT thing.

After about 4 months mine finally came in! I think it looks awesome. I know black wheels are in right now but I think the (formerly) eb pp wheels look amazing polished, it really brings out the curves in the design and the depth of lightning blue paint.
Anyways here it is, more pics once I get it home a cleaned up!

The California Special is the variant for the GT cars... which is coming back for MY19.
