Hi there!

When installing the PMAS intake that requires a tune where is the MAF sensor going to connect to? The PMAS intake has a slot on the tube but it doesn’t appear to be for the MAF sensor?

You will have to remove the MAF from your factory intake and install it into that slot.

Stock MAF goes in the slot. BMill705 How'd you route the MAF wire to get the MAF to point up? There wasn't nearly that much slack in my cable.

i personally cut some of the tape back and allowed for some extra slack. also if you are looking at this picture there is a small clip that holds the wiring to the body of the car i also let the maf out of this clip to give myself even more slack. worked out fine for me

Okay so for those who have this intake? Does your inlet temp stay over 100 while the car idled? It’s 77 degrees out and the inflect temp is 115 while idling!

Mine didnt have any trouble reaching ,it had plenty of wire. I would suggest placing it inside the box though, once I moved mine I noticed a big change in my intake temp. Facing the engine from the driver fender mine is pointing at about 7 o'clock.

Wow I have never seen mine go that high. Yesterday temp was showing 96 and highest idle temp I seen was around 120-130.
Do you have the new design heat shield or the old one?

New design. Bama sent me a tune when I got it and it popped a lot when coming to a stop or downshifting but the tune had dead spots so I requested a new one and the new tune feels smoother but no pops lol.

My battery voltage is 12.1 when it idles or 13.6 I hope that’s normal too lol

I'm seeing slightly higher than ambient temps at idle (120 in 85 degrees). Because everyone talks about how bad the IATs are from PMAS, I did some rough calcs to find out if they actually hold some weight. Here's what I got:
 • There is a reduction in power due to elevated temps, about 1% for every 5 degrees above ambient the IAT reads.
 • Higher temps only really happen at idle, so the ECU will inject less fuel in the less dense air, which will save gas when you idle.
 • IATs are at ambient when moving, so there's no loss in power when actually driving

Interesting. Well, now it’s 105 in Sacramento and the IAT while idling is 174 and while moving it gets down to 130. Hopefully at night it goes much lower.

It’s weird though at 77 degrees my intake temp was 140+ which seems excessive

That's pretty high. Is your MAF pointed up like the first picture or down like mine is?

It was up and then I pointed it down. Nothing changed. I have the new design which has the new metal design for the heat shield. How long have you had your intake for?
