Best tires ALWAYS go on the rear of any car, whether it be FWD or RWD. Steering isn't aided by less traction in the rear than in the front (as I'm sure you know). Low traction in the rear leads to too much oversteer (car wants to spin).
I agree as that’s the way it used to be before FWD. I seem to remember that it changed since both the steering and power were up front. That said I would not mix tires. I know you can but I would never do it.

Edit: Never mind. Just double checked. It’s the rear regardless of which wheels are being driven. :like:

I appreciate the concerns. I'll probably order 2 more sooner than later. This tire is supposed to be super quiet, so I'll know on the first drive out the door.

Because P-Zeros on 15-17 weren't that great, inferior to PSS / PS4.

P Zero Nero on non-PP Mustang was quite terrible - I was able to spin in in 3rd gear at coldish temperatures, something that decent A/S tire shouldn't do.
100% agree with this. The P Zero Nero are trash tires. I cannot wait to replace them they are by far the worst tire I’ve ever used.

I had OE Pirelli tires P Zero on a 2013 Boss 302 that I bought new. I kept that car for 6.5 years and put about 10k miles on it. I drove it as intended a good bit and the tires probably had 50-60 percent left at 10K. They were awful in the cold, as they should be since they are a summer tire. In the heat I’d say they were awesome.
You should try the P Zero Nero they are all season or no season tires more would be more fitting. They are trash in the cold and trash in the summer.

I just bought a 2021 GT PP1 in Grabber Yellow and P Zero's are on it but they are ZR and Y compound. Had the Zeros on my 15 with the 20's and they were unsafe IMO below 70 degrees.....like formica rings is the best way to describe them. 75 or above and stuck pretty well except in the rain. Have had some cold nights here in FL since the new ride and they seem to feel and handle better than I remember. When they need to be replaced will definitely go back to the Conti DSW....good tire IMO.

Also have Magniride so that helps I am sure

did they at least include a tube of Bottom Balm ointment to go along with the PP1 option price?
Nice color.

It wouldn't surprise me. With Covid 19 there have been shortages of tires. If there wasn't enough PS4s to go around they may have had to change the tire in order to continue production.

FWIW, I picked up my PP1 GT a few weeks ago in early January (manufactured late Oct 2020), it does have the Michelin PS4S'

Lucky man. Someone had to be the last person to get them :like:

By the way, are you and Wildhorse related? You guys look like brothers.

Haha thank you!
And I don’t believe so, but maybe we’re long lost relatives or something!

After a quick search it appears that Pirellis are in fact standard on the PP1 now. What a shame, the MPS4S tires were a big selling point for the 2018+ PP1. Must be either cost savings or a supply issue, though I'm suspecting it's the former.
Where did you get your info?
