You could buy the tires through the dealer and roll them into your financing. That's the best thing I could suggest but it seems kind of strange to me that you would add a PP on a vehicle that you knew you would be driving in the winter.

The Performance Pack is more than just a set of tires. I can completely understand why someone driving all season would want it. You just have to swap out the tires. I'm swapping out the tires on my PP GT with the Michelin A/S 3. The funny thing is they'll most likely outperform the stock summer tires.

I know wrong forum, but I need a quick answer and maximum exposure. My car will be here any day and I need A/S tires to get me through the winter. I really can't afford $1000+ on tires, got any ideas how I can make this work? I asked dealer, they wont swap.

My dealer agreed to swap the summer tires off my 20" wheels in exchange for all-season tires and thought they could do an even exchange, plus a mounting and balancing fee. It was just something I negotiated with them.

Every tire I've ever gotten on my current Mustang (two blowouts, one full-set replacement for wear) came from a Ford dealer.

Cool, Thanks JTT I just emailed my dealer to see if I can get A/S tires from him and roll it into the loan.

That sounds like a good solution, could also try Craigslist or see if your local tire dealer has "used" tires, where someone tried them and did not like them for whatever reason.

If money is concern and if your dealer wont swap then shop around. Typically dealers purchase their tires from a 3rd party like a local firestone, kauffman etc. so the prices they get are usually higher than what an independent place can offer on tires. Plus most shops offer free mounting if you purchase the tires from them . Good luck

Are you getting the Performance Pack? If yes, do you intend to keep it parked all winter? Or maybe just drive it when the roads are clear and dry?

I agree, I just bought a set today at Discount tire $1248 out the door. The P-Zeros have a temperature warning in the warranty... do not operate below 45 degrees Fahrenheit, this may cause loss of traction or cracking in the tires.

My Dealer wouldn't cooperate on the tire swap, but they did agree to keep their ugly ass badge off my car, that's a small victory.

You can ask your dealer to do a swap as well. Mine will do a swap I just don't know yet if they would give me full credit for the original ones or if it would only be part of the cost.
