So I know the P-Zeros aren't going to last very long. I have been looking at GT tires and the Pirelli Cinturato P7AS Plus keep coming up. It looks like these are mainly used on large sedans. However I feel like these would be a good fit for the Stang. I know they aren't performance / summer tires but I'm okay with that.

Anyone put these on their car? Thoughts? Suggestions?

I've never seen any great reviews of this tire and they've been around for a while. Personally I wouldn't put these on my car as there are way better options.

Sorry, maybe we're talking about a different tire? The ones I'm referring to are these:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...eModel=Cinturato+P7+All+Season+Plus&tab=Sizes

Everything rating I've seen puts these even above comparable Michelin tires.

I was curious if anyone has put these on their 'Stang before to get some direct feedback. I saw a couple of people with these on their early 2000's Mustangs.

Do they have a correct size? The widest would be 255 I doubt it would fit tho. If you want some A/S tires, go for continental Extreme contact or potenza re760a/s or bfg sport 2 comp a/s

Thanks. The tire size for the CS GT 19" wheels is 255/40. They do make this size.

Any particular reason you'd recommend the Contis over the Pirellis? Everything I'm seeing rates the Pirellis higher. Just curious what your thoughts are.

If you talk about brand then pirellis are better I suppose. But those pirellis that you looked at are not performance tires at all and I don't think it fits a mustang lol. Continentals and those tires I recommend are all-season tires and are performance tires as well. They didn't suffer from a harsh ride or anything like that so I can think of no reason to choose a normal tire over those performance tires

They just don't belong to a same category. The tires I recommend belong to ultra-high performance all season tires and yours belongs to gran touring all season. If you don't want performance tires its fine, just get what you want

Fair enough. I'm actually trying to get away from performance tires since they don't last and I put a LOT of miles on my vehicles each month. I'd like to avoid replacing tires every 6 months if I can. The Cinturatos have a 70K mile warranty and a 700 wear rating. I understand I'm giving up performance for comfort, ride quality, and longevity. That's totally fine with me, as the Mustang is far less of a track car than my previous car (STi).

Just saying that bfg got 70k warranty as well. As long as those are all season tires, they come with a pretty strong warranty. If you just want a comfy DD, go for it:cheers:

I have those on my Stang for 25K miles with no problem. Here in VA the PZeros were no good on November so I changed to those after Tirerack Reviews and it has worked for me very well. I recommend them.

Versus the P-Zeros, would you say there is a significant difference in ride quality/noise? Also, I would imagine there's a hit to traction overall, but specifically wet traction...better, equivalent, or worse?

Oh, and do you have auto or manual? What about performance pack?

Thanks!!

They are quiet tires and so far I have not had any issues with ride quality and noise. I also have better traction that I had with my PZero's summer tires and in wet they are really good.

My car is manual with Performance Package.

I had those on my Chevy Volt and loved them. They were very quiet, gripped excellent for all conditions, and offered improved handling over the previous good years.
