Phunk how do you plan to tune with the id1000s?
Right now I dont think I have much choice... but luckily my only choice is a good one, Lund Racing.

The alternative is to tune it myself, but from what I am gathering, tuning these ECUs is very complex and not the same as just trying to learn your way around some new EMS software. Since I am not a professional in this platform, I am not sure it is worth the time and risk to learn it myself - it could take a very long time before I had the car running correctly.

Right now the decision I have to make is how big of a hurry to get on E85 I am. I want to try the new tune Whipple is about to release also.

Just read all 11 pages, awesome man!! Have you gotten the nGauge yet from Lund? I didn't miss that somewhere in your thread right?

I havent yet... not sure if I will or not. I do have the SCT I can use to load his tune... so unless the nGauge makes the end product any better, I might skip it.

I really need to take a few hours and really update this thread one day and merge the information from my 2 dyno threads.

I am looking at upgrading my clutch come winter time. How does the rxt drive? That was the clutch i planned on going on. Also how much louder did the car get with the long tubes?

Also how loud is the gear rollover with the RXT and the steel flywheel? Ive only heard it with the aluminum flywheel. If there is a difference.

You definitely know the RXT is there from a noise perspective at very low lugging rpm.

The RXT drives better than stock, softer pedal too.

I have to see how long it lasts before I can place it, but right now I have to say that its in the top 2 of aftermarket clutches I have owned. Its between the RXT and the twin carbon clutch that lasted 10 years in my built TT 350z.

Yes you can hear it even with the steel flywheel, buts its not too bad. I dont fault the clutch for that, that is something I would point fingers to the transmission for.

Raced a bolt on C7 Z06 yesterday. He said he makes 660rwhp, so I guess thats about 100hp over a stock one right?

It was a very close race, I felt like I had the edge and would slowly inch away any time we were both on the power. He had the setup advantage as his car hooked up better and I had to granny shift due to all the slop in my IRS making my car feel about as stable as a magic carpet ride. I was lucky that we were able to have our starts from ~60mph and 80mph because any lower than that and the vette would have killed me. But power to weight, it looked like I had the advantage. Neither of us were able to come around the other (he got the hit once, I got it once). He was a nice guy, seemed pretty surprised and asked what I had done to the car - I told him a supercharger and exhaust otherwise stock.

About a hour later I ran a 13-14 GT500 and we seemed dead even. Then a centri LS1 camaro that was pretty quick, I had him but from a stop he would have killed me, I could tell it was a setup auto and seemed like he had issues getting it to perform from a roll. Yesterday was a fun day with my Mustang.

Ive got to say, not many cars make me nervous, but when I saw that clearly modified and loud C7 Z06 come up on my six, that fucker was intimidating and got my heart rate up, I wasnt sure what to expect because Ive just had terrible luck in getting next to one to try some pulls. It was a long time coming for me to run next to one.

Sounds like a fun day! glad to hear you beat up on Z06. I use to have one and am now considering buying a Stang. I seriously doubt that guy made 660whp. Thats pretty hard to accomplish with just bolt-ons on a C6 Z06. Either way, stories like yours, are really starting to sway me more and more each day.

Well I dont technically know what he had, I just assumed easy bolt ons being that its a SC'd car and using a tune and pulley and basics can make an easy 100hp on many SC cars. I found his car on the internet and the shop that works on it does have a package for the C7 Z that they posted dynos of right about that power... It seemed close enough based on the race results!
