Just received my phone call from the Ford Au, a sales Manger.

He confirmed that my car has been build (old news) and that it should be on it way to the Port of Baltimore to be inspected for shipping.

He could not confirm if it would be on the next ship leaving on the 29th.
but said when a car was booked on a ship that we would get a email.

He said I should have it before xmas - which is a bit disappointing - but better than nothing.

I forgot to ask how long it would take to get to the dealer after it arrives in Aust.

Well at least it was a phone call.

Thanks for posting Aussie Mate. Interesting info. I'm interested to see if I get a call as well.

I checked in with my dealer this morning and all they were able to tell me was that it seems like there is a delay getting vehicles shipped and they would follow up with Ford AU.

I've been monitoring the WWL tracking site since last week and it appears that no other AUS/NZ mustangs have been booked on ships outside of the booking made for the Parsifal last week (which looks like 173 AUS cars and 36 NZ cars). I'm now assuming that no other AUS/NZ cars are going to be booked on the Parsifal.

Following the Parsifal, the next ship to AUS/NZ is the Fidelio which is due to sail on the 8 Nov. Hopefully if our cars aren't on the Parsifal they are on that ship. The Fidelio is due to land in Melbourne on 8 Dec which would hopefully mean the cars would still be delivered before Xmas.

I had the call as well today.

Mind you he said that my car will be built on 30/11, but Deysha confirmed to me on Saturday that my car when into production on thursday and I have my window sticker sitting in front of me.

They must be going off the Etis info which hasn't been updated.

He also said there would emails every step of the way from now on and that I'll be emailed a link to track my car once its on the boat.

It's interesting to note that while that 2nd ship leaves 8 days later it arrives only 6 days after.
This is due to the Parsifal sailing via Auckland, Brisbane, port kembla and then Melbourne. While the Fidelio sails via Auckland and to Melbourne direct.

That's good news!
I am chasing ford au over Facebook at the moment. My dealer has no clue what is going on and basically returns no phone calls or emails. Last time updated me saying its scheduled for November build. Nothing since then and no vin ect at all.

It's terrible in that ford au has had a real opportunity to build its return customer base from this car and has continually failed to capitalise on it over and over...

I was all set to buy a ford Everest. Bought a Toyota instead after this debacle

Just got my phonecall too!

Well, something's happening. The list of things the FordOz sales manager mentioned sounded suspiciously close to what I had said the other day:
1) Send emails. Many emails.
2) Send link to shipping website so that we can track the shipping
3) Send more emails.

I think they're watching this space :ninja:

Hi guys, just an update from Europe section (I already received my car). You can expect it takes 2,5-3 months from a build date till delivery to a dealer. After the car is built, it takes few more weeks just to transport it to Baltimore since there are some specific procedures for export vehicles. Then, after unloading them in Europe, our cars stayed in a harbour for 1-3 weeks because of an undercoating procedure. I don't know if all of this apply to Australia cars, I just want to give you an update since I exactly know how does it feel to wait. Fingers crossed.

I got one today also.....my my ...they have been busy....a bouncing baby mustang to be born on 30/11 as well. Sounds like that is a busy day...at least I got a vin at last from them, so I can now do some tracking.
Maybe today was official Ford PR day.....
Seriously though. ...it was good to receive a call..

I think the total process is indeed very similar to that of EU cars, however the traveltime of the vessel from Baltimore to Australia is about 2.5 weeks longer than to Europe. So yo might wanna add that time to our average.
