I have had all sorts of plates in all sorts of colours and never had a problem tbh... My last Mustang was running
White USA plates... Although they seem to leave the Classics alone..I dont think the police know the laws Lol.!!
I think the Police have better things to be getting on with...! (I reckon a lot of them are closet petrol heads anyway!)

Good luck with not getting pulled by police for illegally spacing number plates- here in Devon, they are hot on this. My plate spells my surname & I got pulled for just having all the numbers & letters evenly spaced (instead of a double space between the A & 5). It took years of badgering DVLA to get the plate & they eventually listed it at one of their auctions for me. I don't want to run the risk of losing it so correctly spaced now & to be honest doesn't look much different. Strangely, the police don't seem bothered about the slightly smaller plates I have on by bikes (8x6 instead of 9x7) the f*ck off noisy exhausts!!! Most of the plates I see on here need to be spaced illegally to make sense so good luck! As I don't have my Mustang until next month, I can only show a picture of my plate on my wife's MX5 which is being replaced by the Mustang.

Probably all they've got in Devon to keep them interested in their job!

Yeah I get that but just spaced it like that in here. Doesn't look to bad with the correct spacing either. When is on a stang I think the point will come across

regarding the Sto N Sho, does the square plate fix by sticky pads or is screwed in...? (excuse my ignorance!)
Yeah just stick it on. Looks like there is plenty of contact area.
Yes, pads would work but there are annoying holes in the back plate which make it a little awkward. There are screw holes at the top corners which i've used and also some pads at the bottom.

@ Manders Mustang - I've had a V8 plate with my initials for over 12 years now, so I won't be changing just yet

Anyone get one of the P---ONY plates that became available this morning?

I was after P21ONY but missed it when my phone signal went down.
I ended up with P121ONY which on a square plate will look OK I think.

But I've shown it to my grown up kids and they reckon it looks naff! Still for ÂŁ250 I like it.
