so a lot of the sales sites recommend when lowing that we should also buy camber plates for the front to prevent uneven tyre ware.

i'm curios as to whether anyone has bothered and whether people think they are really necessary or not?

Thanks

From what I have seen. Some people can get away without them. But for the price it's probably worth having them done at the same time as if you do need them you will need a second visit.
I shouldn't really comment as I haven't had mine lowered but didn't want to read and run

Not needed here either with extensive suspension modifications. You may need camber bolts, can't remember if it was front or rear, depending on how you want the suspension dialled in.

On standard drop Steeda springs the car should just about be OK & within tolerance for front alignment.

If you need an extra tweak our front camber bolts are a cheap an easy way to add a little more adjustment.

If you are doing a more extreme drop or want to have more adjustability for the track etc, then our S550 Mustang front camber plates are the way forward, and in the rear our S550 Mustang Adjustable Rear Camber Arms offer great adjust too.

thanks for the response guys, i'm currently looking at the Roush Adjustable coilovers which do 1.5 on the front and 1 on the rear from factory. AM recommended camber plates with them, but they are probably just trying to sell more

@steeda_UK do you have an equivalent spring and shock set for a similar drop?

Hi SamH_ yes we do Steeda shocks and springs set up (both adjustable and fixed rate shocks) with a variety of springs to use, with different drops. 1" all round, 1" rear and 1 1/4" front, and 2" extremes as a guide. Plus we offer rear spring spacers to adjust the look and rake if required.

Plus we can supply KW V3 coilovers if you want a fully height adjustable (but more costly setup). As I mentioned above, a 1" ish drop should see you OK with alignment but significantly more could need camber assists as above. Our Camber plates work with KW Coilovers too.
