For DE track days where does everyone set the performance shift indicator, what RPM limit?

7900 . . . .That provides a little bit of a cushion to bounce off the rev limiter.

I recently became friends of a Ford Perf driver who instructs at Track Attack and he recommended 7700 RPM.

I recently became friends of a Ford Perf driver who instructs at Track Attack and he recommended 7700 RPM.
That seems about right. Mine has been at 7800 for the past few years and it feels perfect. I still bounce off the limiter every once in a while but it's on very rare occasions. Most of the time I shift JUST before it cuts out. 7800 is perfect for me.

It really depends on the track and your skill level where to set a comfortable limit. For tighter tracks where you spend a lot of the time in 2nd - 4th gear you want to set the lower limit. On tracks where you can stretch it out in 3rd, 4th and possibly 5th gear, like Road America or Road Atlanta you could set a higher limit.
