Admin team. Thanks for merging all the PP posts!

Anyone have a clue how us Base GT + PP folks can get the drive mode switch?

I am lost figuring out Base performance versus having that drive mode toggle?

Yes, step up to the Premium package to get the drive modes and the 4 toggle switches.

I was afraid of that. Hopefully Ford will fix that between now and production.
Anything is possible but highly unlikely. Need to recoup some of the development cost in making you pay more for the feature.

This makes me think of the old saying "you got to pay to play." Ford realizes that in order to get the go fast goodies, you will have to go up in package level which means more profit potential.

Agreed! It's pretty pathetic...If not down right embarrassing. I seriously lol'd when I first saw this. That screen is smaller than most damn phones...:tsk:

If you think it is bad, just look at a camaro's imitation of a kids toy

It's not like it's a new concept, even on the current Mustang. Every manufacturer does this. Do people really expect to be able to get each option separately on each model? Trust me, you will still be able to get a base car with the track package and optional axle ratios. You want all the electronic goodies and you'll have to pony up. (see what I did there?)

I agree pay to play makes cents to pony up for measurable "performance". Right now that is for sure Base GT + PP + Recarro. Time will tell if the electronic tech is a fun factor versus faster performance.

This particular car seems to be an odd bird. The rear valence is painted entirely the color of the body. Correct me if I'm wrong, but all the other cars that were showcased and all the pictures on Ford's website had some black trim on the rear valence.

I really hope that's not the non-tech package layout, as it is certainly hideous.

I don't see a slot to insert a CD into on any pictures base radio or MFC.
I noticed this too. On Camaros, only the base models (no Nav) have CD players. I know CD's are on the way out, but it's too early not to even offer one.

My last two company cars were VWs with USB / SD card interfaces for the audio.
While I was first apalled by the idea of not having a CD player, I quickly became hooked when I realized that I could have 32 gigs of death metal on tap at all times. :)
I would not be surprised if the new 'stang would go that way.
The C7 doesn't have a cd player any more either...

Yeah, I have no need for a CD player at this point. My phone, iPod, etc is much better (and much less clutter in my car!). :)

A performance package would be a AWD 3.5 Ecoboost..Could it be done?.Sure can. The Ford Taurus SHO has been running this for quiet some time now. More power less weight. GT 350 anyone..

Would LOVE AWD, but forget the V6 -- gimme an Ecoboost V8 to go with it! :)
